Look at all of the unearned runs the affiliates gave up. It was a poor day for the defense!!!!!

Did anyone else notice that when the Twins have someone in scoring postion or had the game on the line, the hitters tried to hit the ball up the middle. It seems common philosophy that this should be the approach. However, in the first two games of the series, the Sox middle infielders were playing away from the middle of the field. it was especially noticable in the game where macdougal gave up the winning run. Every ball went up the middle. Mac got to one of them but the infielders couldn't quite get to the slowly hit ones up the middle. I don't knowif this is poor scouting or Ozzie's paln but we need to play them differently next time.

Not only that but there a very few reasons that anyone would have an elevated T/E ratio naturally. Especially when none of his previous tests had this result.

I believe that the velocity issue has a lot to do with the short off season and recovery time. Many articles have been written about the effect of a wrold series run on a pitching staff. This includes the longer season and shorter off season. Garcia has the added workload of the world baseball classic, having to begin earlier than most pitchers. With this combination of extra work it's a wnoder he can lift the arm let alone be as effective as he his.

Kind of wierd watching the videos of the last two picks. The lefty throws more over thr top and the righty throws more 3/4s. Usually it's the other way around. They both have quik motions and hide the ball well.

Since there is absolutely no way Frank will return to the Sox to play again, I think there is a good chance the sox will retire his number. However, unilke Baines who was very appreciate of the gesture and cried at the ceremony, Frank will mostly likely say something like "it will mean more to me when I retire" I was at the Baines ceremony and it was a very emotional moment and something I will never forget.

I also read in Baseball Digest that he holds the record for most two-hitters, but I can't find any specific information online because the internet f***ing sucks. What you are looking at is a monster, ptatc. An absolute f***ing monster. I agree he blongs there. But again you list all of the records that deal with strikeouts. I don't know if stirkeouts make you a great pitcher. They might but it's not my only criteria. I'm sure he has equally impressive numbers with walks. I don't consider all of the records with just strikeouts necessarily worthy of HOF. But overall his career pushes him over the edge. If you are around long enough you will compile enough numbers to make it. I also like the Eddie Murray example. Again a guy who compiled it over a long time to rank as one of the best. How about Rapheal Palmeiro? He is in that group with Murray with 500 HR and 3000 hits. Should he go in? I don't know.
