  1. It's a reality when talking about the Sox acquisitions.
  2. That would fit. They only have about 20 under the tax and they need to save some for the trade deadline.
  3. Yeah, it's a complicated situation when they are trying to win now and extend the window to compete. Acquiring talent when the salary is as near to the tax as it is.
  4. They have a budget to adhere to. There was no way they could do both for high end acquisitions.
  5. Maybe they should have focused on acquiring pitching instead of say a .....RF? ?
  6. I think CBT wise it was kimbrel for 16 but Pollock for 7.5. Pollock has 10 this year and a 5 buyout next year so his is spread out over 2.
  7. That would be surprising. TLR impresses me as a guy whonwould want speedier guys at 9.
  8. Vaughn will move up. They are just working him back into the lineup.
  9. Is he even on the market? If he is in the same situation as Vaughn then teams don't like to trade young promising pitchers with 5 years of control.
  10. Tough when it's his right hip. But knowing the Sox luck recently a RHP will throw a weird screwball and circle around to hit him there.
  11. What's more likely. Someone on this board being an optimist, or you being a pessimist?
  12. I think I am one of the few people on this board that looks at thing from a neutral point of view.
  13. Bone bruise. As long as he doesn't dive on it, he will be fine.
  14. I don't even know who Keller is. I have never once commented on him. And yes you have undervalued Vaughn since the drafted a RH first baseman that they could get anywhere.
  15. Sure but what does that have to do with undervaluing Vaughn?
  16. Hate to tell you this but other teams look at potential as well. Not just what a rookie did while playing 2 positions he hasn't played before.
  17. Get your game threads out of the way now then. Maybe it will change when the games count.
  18. Anyone can improve. However rookies I. The first look at the league have a better chance. Besides I didn't comment on any other players only on your comment of Vaghn hitting against right handed pitching when the ground is damp and humidity is above 84%.
  19. Like watching NASCAR. I only watch for the wrecks.
  20. On Sundays, after 2:35, when it is partially overcast. He was a rookie. There is a slight possibility he will improve.
  21. It's going to be tough now. He is probably looking at a minimum of 3 years to get to dtarter innings.
  22. I believe we were talking about the same issue just a difference in the length of rehab. One towards the longer end and the other on the shorter end. Of course it is all pure speculation because there is no information and no one could be even close.
  23. Very true. We do functional tests to determine if they can get by without it. There have been cases in the NFL where during physicals they found a player doesn't have one.
