I caught one of the pride crew shirts last year. It was a highlight of my ballpark experiences, outside of the games of course. It was headed right for one of my buddies, but at the last second some old man jumped and deflected it right into my hands. Too bad it was an XL.

Delmon Young throws bat at umpire after...
Pauly8509CWS replied to maggsmaggs's topic in The Diamond Club
They've showed it on ESPN a few times. The bat goes end over end and hits the ump directly. It was thrown, and I mean thrown, right at him. -
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 09:06 AM) hmmmm, all three bands featured in this months Spin magazine.....interesting.

QUOTE(Nokona @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 12:07 AM) If he was tall, it was Herz. If not, Carc. The scariest thing about that team is that the two best hockey players in the school don't even play. One's busy with Team Illinois and will probably play Juniors next year. The other quit cause he broke his wrist last year or something. I'm looking at the scoresheet and I dont see either of those names, the kid I was talking about however is Connenna. -
I think he doesn't want to pass Aaron, he just wanted to pass "that white guy" that everyone loves.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:47 PM) Smoke some marijuana, a couple shots of vodka, and you'll be good to go. Oh Keith, where'd you ever get that idea...? I'll tell your parents on you. I think I could have done better if I didn't go out the night before. I took the test feeling "under the weather." I think one of the worst things you can do is try to "prepare mentally." Most, if not all of the stuff is stuff you should have seen before and studying is a waste of time. Like most people said, just eat a decent breakfast beforehand, you'll do alright.

QUOTE(Nokona @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) im good friends with just about everyone on the team. Their stud player was a dog on D, real talented, lit me up twice, but just did nothing when the puck wasnt on his stick. Fun game, but I don't think they expected to even have a close game. They did too much talking beforehand and not enough playing. They are however gonna be pretty solid next year if they can find a serviceable goalie. -
I've just always used blue.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 11:53 PM) Considering we have so many damn races in that school, plus every particular person liking other stuff, and being it's a public school.. I wouldn't say surprising. But I know where your comming from on this. Yeah I just kinda assumed they were Hillcrest-ish, good hoops, decent football, baddd baseball. -
Frankenstein Garcia-Large and In Charge
Pauly8509CWS replied to jamalmanburg's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He may have always been inconsistent, but he hasn't been consistently throwing in the mid-80s his whole career. I think that was this poster's beef with Garcia. There is obviously something wrong here. -

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 07:32 PM) Yup. They don't seem like a school that would be a baseball type. Suprising to me, a suburbanite though. -

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) Yeah I see no point in seeing the movie to be honest. I know what happens and it'd be impossible to make this better than the real deal. Maybe they'll make it a close game at the end and he hits the winning 3 pointer or something. But then that wouldn't be factually correct and it would take away from what really happened. The real thing >>>>>>>>>>>> crappy hollywood movie -

How good can this movie be? Like that story was remarkable, but it's not like it had an effect on the season, or that he eventually became a star player. Great story, probably will be a terrible movie. -
QUOTE(rventura23 @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 10:42 AM) modern era record is 18 by Lofton I think Please pass that bum. I've never liked Kenny Lofton.

QUOTE(bmags @ Apr 22, 2006 -> 11:10 AM) roots are great...rarely listen to their albums though... The newere ones have some of their live stuff on their, which I like alot better. They're touring right now with Common, Talib Kweli, and Erykah Badu. I think that show would be alot of fun.
-
Ben Kweller is good s***. Anyone on here a fan of the Roots? I know it kinda seems out of place to ask here, but I've really gotten into them lately and their new CD, the Tipping Point is quality.

This isn't funny, but I'm kinda laughing at it.

Is that George Washington? Like the school that played in the OF regional for basketball? -
I meant to use the LOL one, but kinda made a mistake. My bad.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 09:03 PM) Hmmm, a week in Alaska or a week of running and games? If that's the sport I loved, I would rather be playin games and practicing. -
I guess that's what happens when you don't follow directions.
