Playoff losses are tough. The close game one's are the worst.

I know people hate him because of the thing with the Colts last year, but that game yesterday is why Josh McDaniels is still wanted by teams and will be a head coach one day. Great game plan against a pretty good defense, the Chargers could not adjust and got sliced up. Chargers were 8th in points and 9th in yards and the Patriots dropped 40 points and 500 yards on them like it was nothing.

It's hard to tell, but I think he is a really good coach and would be surprised if he didn't have success when he comes back. Sure, having Aaron Rodgers helps, but McCarthy played a large part in developing Aaron Rodgers. He was a really big reason Brett Favre had an extra 4 years of really good play at the end of his career.

I bet he is going to enjoy his paid year off. I also think it will be good for him to take a year off and work on some things. It did wonders for Andy Reid. McCarthy will have his pick of teams next year as well and that could include the Steelers which is his home town team.

That Tampa defense needs a lot of work. Like 11 new starters.

He was pretty much on par with every other coach at Texas Tech. Only Mike Leach had real success there. His passing offense has a chance to be really exciting, but Arizona better fix that O-Line or it's going to be a mess.

If Lafleur and Kingsbury do well. There might not be many defensive minded head coaches hired for a few years.

The fans are going to go overboard on the placekicker, all fans always do, but he should have made that kick. Was from a reasonable distance, wasn't too cold, no wind. You have to make that. I don't know why anyone would want to be a kicker. I know the money is nice, but you have the chance to be remembered in the worst way for the rest of your life.

The defense played well all game, but the Bears defense has to make a stop in the 4th quarter. They traded two first round picks and made Mack the highest paid defensive player. They have about three or four other first round picks on that defense and a ton of big time free agent money spent. On the last drive the Eagles with a back up QB carved them up in their own stadium. It's not the only reason they lost, but if they want to be mentioned with other great defenses they have to make a stop there.

The kicker blew it at the end, but at the end of the game your offense gives you the lead in the 4th. The Bears defense has to step up on that last Eagles drive.
