  1. I have the same problem. I feel the more I drink, the easier it is.
  2. Franklin Gutierrez was scratched from Tuesday's lineup in order to attend to a family matter.
  3. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 02:18 PM) It's hard to believe the Mets have never thrown a no-hitter with the likes of Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver and Jerry Koosman in their past. Doc Gooden tossed a one hitter for the Mets. This is a funny website about the Mets never having got a no hitter. http://www.nonohitters.com/
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 12:38 PM) A bit of hyperbole. He's saying that Hitler and Stalin weren't as bad as we are told and that they're unfairly portrayed in the Jewish led media. He admits Hitler's a Frankenstein, but wants us to understand (sympathize?) that he apparently was created by the evil Allies. It's a ridiculous statement to make and it's getting next to no coverage out there. Again, let's use the common sense test - imagine the reaction if a major conservative said it. You have Howard Dean calling Fox News racist (based on nothing), and you guys cry fowl over some tea party guy dodging the media, but no reactions to this? And while there are other modern genocides (Africa), I dunno that anything can really compare to the Holocaust. It deals with the western world, so that accounts for the difference in coverage, and it was done in a disgustingly systematic way (i.e. rail lines straight to gas chambers instead of invading villages with machine guns). He did not say that Hitler was good or that we should sympathize with him. He didn't deny the Holocaust. He said that Hitler killed other large amounts of people too. He said that Hitler was partially funded by American and British corporations. Which is true. He gave this interview and was talking about this certain subject because he has a TV series coming out about it.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 12:07 PM) While the movies weren't great, when I saw GRINDHOUSE in the theatre, I had fun during the experience. I liked Planet Terror better than Death Proof, but both entertained me. I think they should have put Death Proof first than had Planet Terror. I think have the more action packed movie second would have been cool.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 26, 2010 -> 08:56 PM) Thanksgiving freaked me out. Especially the scene on the trampoline I was hoping Eli Roth would make Thanksgiving into a real movie. Grindhouse is coming out on Blu Ray and will have all the fake trailers with it.
  7. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 09:22 AM) Oh ok. That makes it better then. Makes what better?
  8. Seattle is last ever major team hitting stat. Batting .235 as a team. Although the Astro and Pirate are right there.
  9. Floyd is really dropping that ERA. Let's keep it going. On another note. Has anyone seen an offense as bad as what Seattle runs out there everynight. Yikes.
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 08:46 AM) He's downplaying the evil of both men. He damn near claims that it wasn't Hitler's fault that he did the things he did, it was America/Britian that created the monster. He was saying that Hitler besides killing millions of jews also had killed millions of Russians killed. Which is something that gets overlooked. Also alot American and British industrialists did support Hitler and other fascists of the time. Hitler, Franco and Mussolini were responsible for there actions, but you can't deny who helped them.
  11. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 08:22 AM) So conservative ideology includes racism? Really? And Mel Gibson isn't getting a pass. He's been all over the news and everyone has an opinion on what he said/did. The stuff he said about " jews controling the media" was incredibly stupid. I don't remember him saying that Hitler and Stalin were "good". You wanna talk about a free pass, that Henry Ford sure did get off easy.
  12. Good to be home. Too bad the Twins are beating the Royals by two touchdowns and a field goal.
  13. Last time we played Seattle, Kotsay went 0-11. So let's hope he can improve on that.

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jul 25, 2010 -> 10:08 PM) The original was so good, I don't even want to see a remake. I feel the same way. This remake even if good, won't come anywhere close to the original.
  15. Why even argue with someone like that. All the dude wants is the attention.
  16. What kinda charity event is that. Charity for his bedroom.
  17. Pitching in our farm system is really bad. Yikes. I hope the dudes we drafted this year are good.
  18. Than Torres would have to come up to finish the year.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 01:40 PM) Which is why that is identified as being "the problem." Thats a big ass problem.
  20. If the Brewers want pitching and they aren't big on Hudson, than shouldn't that just about end talks. We don't have anyone else. Unless a third team is in this too.
  21. I'd rather have Luke Scott or Laroche.
  22. I douldn't pick just one. If I had to it would be Johnny Ramone. I think he proved you didn't have to be a "Guitar god" to be good. I think he also has more influence on modern guitar players than Jimi Hendrix does. Keith Richards Pete Townshend Wayne Kramer Ron Asheton Johnny Ramone Greg Ginn Kurt Cobain
  23. Tea party has been around for a long time. Look at The John Birch Society. Same thing really.
