QUOTE (Cknolls @ Oct 20, 2009 -> 10:54 AM) http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/o...npartisan-vote/ BEST ATTORNEY GENERAL EVAHHHH!!! Don''t these voters know Obama and his ilk know what is best for everyone? You know the Washington Times was founded by a man who said the Holocaust was restitution for Jewish leaders not supporting Jesus. He also thinks he is the second coming of Christ. Oh and thinks homosexuals are "dung-eating dogs." Just thought this should be brought up when someone uses the Washington Times as a news source.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Oct 16, 2009 -> 09:23 AM) Leave it up to Fox News to spread more lies with bad fact checking: 53 House Republicans Try to Oust Safe Schools Czar Over Retracted Fox News Story They are real big on attacking any Obama staffers. The are also attacking Anita Dunn for once quoting Mao. Joseph McCarthy would be proud.

I say you should never get your news from mass emails. Same goes with all the rumors and what not. If there is something you think might be real just double check the facts. I say ignore them and don't pass them on. I did enjoy the story on snopes about the abused goat who turns the tables on its owner.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Oct 15, 2009 -> 03:38 PM) This is the weirdest news story ever No, that belongs to the lady who sat on the toilet for like two years and her skin started growing over the toilet.

It's amazing how the thing landed so softly and that there was a dude right there, who almost caught it.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 14, 2009 -> 12:45 PM) So, does anyone know what Steele has been doing behind the scenes? One of the things that helped the Dems a lot in some of the recent elections was the under-the-hood stuff that Dean was doing. Dean didn't focus on a lot of public statements and policy stuff, he acted more like an operational guy. So even though he came off as a bit crazy, that was OK, because he was effective. Can the same be said of Steele? Is he maybe doing some positive things that he doesn't talk up in the press? Has anyone read about anything like that? Yeah, but most or all the Dems were behind Dean. I'm not sure Republicans like Steele.

We keep talking about Fox like its a real news network. Is this really news?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 14, 2009 -> 09:26 AM) It had a fun, campy Creepshow feel to it but I wouldn't give it that much praise. I really liked it. I thought it was one of the best halloween themed horror movies in a long time. I think the movie studio messed this one up. It was supposed to come out Oct 5th 2007. Why it didn't come out only on DVD, two years later is odd.

I SEEN Trick r Treat last night and it was awesome. Loved the Halloween theme stuff.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 14, 2009 -> 08:47 AM) They are reporting events as they happen. If stories about Acorn and the like are the most occurring thing, that is what is going to be reported. The numbers are going to skew towards whatever is hot. That is their job. I would think you know that the President's job is a little bit different. What happened with Acorn wasn't really that big of a news story. Fox acted like it was the biggest news story this year.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 13, 2009 -> 08:46 PM) Either way, we are still paying for them. And remember money is always more important than human life.

These are some things that changed the country. 1. Montgomery Bus Boycott 2. New Deal 3. 1968 Democratic Convention / Kent State shootings 4. Roe vs. Wade 5. 2005 White Sox. If there was a 6th it would be the NES.

It's amazing that it took all this effort to get one moderate republican to vote for a watered down bill.

I once found 80 bucks cash on the floor of a video store I worked at. It was by the video game section, so I figured some kid lost it. I gave it to my store manager and told her the story. I found out later, that she just brought it home that night and kept it. Some poor kid probably called in and was lied to. I hope she enjoys hell!!!

Official 2009-2010 NFL Thread
GoSox05 replied to rangercal's topic in A and J's Olde Tyme Sports Pub
The awfulness that is the Browns goes on. Mangini is just awful. Per the Cleveland Plain Dealer - The NFL has begun an investigation into Browns RB James Davis' season-ending shoulder injury. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning that Davis aggravated an old shoulder injury and tore his labrum in a post-practice drill two weeks ago. Davis, in street clothes, was reportedly "trucked" by a fully-padded linebacker. "I'm not going to talk about that today," Eric Mangini said late Sunday. -
Did he really use Chicago tough. Give me a break.
