  1. I'd like to see the Sox chase Verlander out by the 6th. Get to that bullpen.
  2. QUOTE (sox405 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 12:16 PM) not many people here today? I think everyone is burnt out from yesterday.
  3. QUOTE (Jimmywins1 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 12:07 PM) Hah. Wow, on mlb.tv, (I'm forced to watch the Tigers side of the broadcast) their scouting report of Verlander says "Spanked the Sox", I guess they forgot to mention his career stats against us. 3-9 with a 5.44 era.
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 09:33 AM) 1. Game 2 of 2005 WS (the Konerko GS and Pods walk-off - doesn't get better than that) 2. Game 2 of 2005 ALCS - the AJ dropped 3rd strike game 3. Game 163, 2008 - the Blackout 4. Opening Day, 2006 - the WS banners and tribute 5. Game 1 of 2005 ALDS - beating Boston 14-3, or something like that 6. Sometime in the late 80's or so, it was seat cushion day, and the last one ever, due to what happened that night. After a bad call on the field, someone in the crowd chucked their square, white seat cushion onto the field like a frisbee. Others followed suit, until it was snowing seat cushions. The PA announcements said the Sox would have to forfeit if that continued, so the Sox almost lost by forfeit that game. Hilarious. 7. Also sometime in the late 80's or maybe early 90's, saw the Sox come back from down, I think, 10-6 in the 9th, to win 12-10 on a Gary Redus Grand Slam. 8. Similar timeframe, I saw three straight homeruns hit, two by unlikely sources - Rudy Law, Ozzie Guillen, Harold Baines. They gotta bring back seat cushion day.
  5. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 24, 2009 -> 09:30 AM) A 70s conversion fan and a bag of candy. A conversion fan?
  6. A new house. That was a nice catch.
  7. Game 163 The game where Pablo Ozuna got hurt and ended what would've been a HOF career. The game in which Felix Diaz out dueled Big Z. Ozzie bobblehead day.
  8. I thought Farmio and DJ called a really good game. All of them were great the last couple innings. Hawk may be kinda of nut most days, but there is no doubt how much he loves the White Sox and MB.
  9. QUOTE (CanOfCorn @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 03:48 PM) White Sox have TWO pitchers that have been a part of a no hitter? Obviously MB with his no-no and perfect game aaaaaaaaand... Octavio Dotel part of a combined no-hitter with the Astros in 2003 against the Yankees. Interesting stat. That Astro's game was crazy. I think Oswalt got hurt early in the game and bullpen tossed a no no.
  10. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 03:45 PM) There goes the boos for a while as well. He will get at least a couple 0-4 3k and foul pop out games.
  11. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 03:41 PM) That will be Wise' greatest moment ever in his career. I think he was holding back some tears at the end there. Which I can fully understand. He just realized that he will never have to pay for a drink in Chicago ever again.
  12. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 03:23 PM) I cannot find a video of THE CATCH. Anyone see it anywhere yet? I didn't get to see it!!! It's on mlb.com now.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 03:28 PM) Man, we are a Zobrist slam and a blown save by Bobby from going 8-0 against these guys. That's impressive. We've handled the Rays pretty well this year.
  14. MB with a nice game helped save the bullpen for the big series with the old first place team.
  15. That catch Wise made will go down in history as one of the best.
  16. We are a few minutes away from being in first place.
  17. QUOTE (Nokona @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 02:53 PM) I'm not going to make it guys. I'm not going to make it. Get a paper bag.
  18. This series has taken about 5 years off my life. Close games and now this.
  19. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 23, 2009 -> 02:35 PM) Damn, Boone Logan was about to face Juan Uribe in Atlanta, but they are bringing in a different pitcher! Thats cause the world would have ended.
