  1. Ubaldo Jiménez has some heat, but he need's to learn some control.
  2. QUOTE(JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 19, 2008 -> 03:28 PM) The scary part of Lexi's HR is that he got UNDER the ball. If he squared the baby up, oh man. How far did he hit it?
  3. QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 19, 2008 -> 08:20 AM) Simple solution: only allow the Arms that were available when the Second Ammendment was made. Flint-lock muskets and rifles for everyone! and swords. We need more swords on the streets.
  4. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 18, 2008 -> 01:27 PM) Maybe I should be a politician. Man, what is it? I'm agreeing with all you 'libs' today... Seriously, all junk aside that we banter back and forth, most of us aren't that far apart on main issues that confront us. None of us here on this forum (at least I'd like to hope) aren't racist, and really, are looking out for what's best for America (Canada, in your case, Kip). Or hell, throw out the nationality. We're looking for what's best for people. That's all that matters. So we disagree on how we get there sometimes... but I wouldn't want anyone here to be any less successful then I am, in fact, I wish everyone could be at least or more successful. You know why? Because we're all better for it. Ok, I'm done being all sappy. Back to the snarky Kaperbole. "What the world needs now is love, sweet love" - Barry Manilow.
  5. I don't think Alexei Ramirez is ready to take on the job full time. I think he need's more time playing 2B. I think Uribe will be on a very short leash. I could see Richar back there sometime this year.
  6. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 15, 2008 -> 08:39 AM) No, I confess, you've got me down. I'm really just looking for the next Ronald Reagan so we can defeat the coming commie menace. Anyone who posts a thread about Hugo Chavez that is not unstintingly gushing about poor, innocent, beautiful Hugo, freedom fighter for the masses, champion of the downtrodden, is clearly a paleoconservative who gets off whenever any discussion of Star Wars comes up, who waits desperately for the next champion of the right to swing into the WH like Indiana Jones and crush every worker everywhere and the principled warriors who have no thought but the dignity of the worker. Oh, unmasked! That's what I figured.
  7. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 05:22 PM) No, I was just pointing out that if you really believe this is an army, you should reasonably want them hauled away, since war crimes are their mo. And, no, you're obviously not moderate, nor even half-moderate, nor even one-eighth, etc. Happy militant lunacy, GoSox. So if someone dosen't agree with your moderate views they are labeled lunatics and militants?

  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 04:29 PM) So, does this thread mean he's not a Muslim? No he's still planning to take over the country with muslim forces. Just Ask Michael Savage.
  10. QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 04:21 PM) Are you equating FARC to the US? If so, I think you may be as crazy as Hugo, but with less oil. I was actually explaining how neither are terrorist organization's. How do you know I don't have more oil than Hugo. I've been saving up for years.
  11. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 02:46 PM) Kidnapping for ransom. That's not a war crime at all, now. Among other activities. That's all nice and everything, but I really don't care what your opinion is. FARC has been recognized as a terrorist organization for a long time. The question is, when that designation is made, can the US not take action against a foreign government that supports that group or attempts to support that group? I guess it was dumb to expect anyone even half moderate to click on a Hugo Chavez thread. So if you commit a war crime that makes you a terrorist organization? So hasn't the U.S commited war crimes? Doe's that make us a terrorist organization? If you don't care what my opinion is than why respond. I'm glad to not be a moderate.
  12. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 12:10 PM) By "leave him alone", do you mean the US should not add Venezuela to the state-supporters-of-terrorism list, even though FARC is recognized as a terrorist organization? Correct. The FARC is a Belligerent army not a terrorist oranization. Well in mine and other people's opinion.
  13. I don't see the "hate" part. Yes he's clearly angry with the U.S goverment, but I don't see how you can call that hate. I didn't see him say that we should kill all white people or something to that extent. I just don't see a problem with his speeches.
  14. I read something about Dave Roberts. No thanks.
  15. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 14, 2008 -> 11:30 AM) It involves electronic files that are physically in the possession of Columbia. It's not some unsupported testimonial, like someone remembering Uribe by his glasses years before he wore glasses. If you want to defend what Chavez did, I wish you'd just do it instead of trying to deflect criticism. I'm not defending Chavez. I think the United States should leave him alone. I think they should stop funding Uribe also.
  16. I joined, but the time on yahoo shows 6:30 PDT. Is that pacific time?
  17. Has there been something wrong with Danks?
  18. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 04:28 PM) I don't think that's as true of Uribe as it is of, say, Musharraf. The "ties" are all in the past, and there isn't much hard evidence. Many of the allegations seem to be politically motivated, many look dubious. The prosecution of all those politicians has been under his watch, and he hasn't tried to obstruct the process. And if by assassinations you mean the killing of FARC leaders, well, of course he's done that. I don't know of any time he's assassinated a pacific leftist elected official, though. The trade unions thing I'd agree with, from what I know. But on the whole, it's a big stretch to say that the US is supporting terrorism by supporting someone who's reducing violence and demobbed the right-wing groups. A really, really big stretch. The evidence against Hugo Chavez supporting the FARC is also suspect. As it also could be politically motivated.
  19. I think we get middle Thornton this year. Not as bad as last year, but not as good as his first year with us. ERA in the high 3's.
  20. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 02:35 PM) I'm not, btw, saying Uribe is a saint. Going unannounced into another country is certainly a questionable move, and I do buy some of what I read about labor trouble. And, it wouldn't surprise me if he was partial to the AUC in the past (though it would surprise me somewhat if he offered any official, material support). But his current popularity is based on his success in reducing violence, overall. That seems better than giving $300 mil to a kidnapping, trafficking, sometimes murderous guerrilla group. And whatever happened, it doesn't excuse giving $300 mil to such a group. I just seems like Uribe get's a free pass because he's an ally of the USA. This is a guy who has had tie's to paramilitary terrorist's and drug cartel's. 75 governors, mayors, and Congressional politicians alleged or found guilty of having direct links to the paramilitary under him. The ongoing suppression of trade-unionism, assassinations of left-of-centre activists and politicians.
  21. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 01:24 PM) Is this directed at me? If so, you're spending yr sarcasm on the wrong person. Left or right, you have to consider that Venezuela is one of our major suppliers (behind Canada & Saudi Arabia). It's a pickle. It was directed at people who foam at the mouth when Hugo Chavez name is mentioned. If you have a problem with him giving money to the FARC army, than you should also have a problem with the American goverment which gives billions of dollars to President Uribe. Who has had ties to extreme right wing terrorist paramilitary groups like AUC.
  22. The evil commies are coming to get us(again)!!! If only Ronnie Raygun was still alive. He would know how to handle this. By funding terrorist contras of course! I think we could show Hugo how to fund terrorists the proper way.
  23. When your skin starts to grow on something besides your body, your in bad shape.
  24. The south still elects people like Sally Kern who said homosexuality is more dangerous than islamic terrorists. She also compared it to a cancer. She really didn't catch much slack for that. When the south stop's electing people like that, than I think people in the north will start to think differently.
  25. That was nice. He wanted to say "Holy s***".
