  1. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Dec 8, 2005 -> 10:03 PM) The Bears need to draft Alan Zemaitis. Badly.. Is your CB situation really that bad? Tillman and Vasher aren't that bad at all IMO.
  2. QUOTE(TimoandAaron @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 09:53 PM) how do the Giants have a better stadium then the Jets? The Giants have a better stadium experience than the Jets. It makes sense. For example, if there were only one baseball stadium in town and it was called "White Sox Park", do you think you'd have more fun there as a White Sox fan, or as a Cubs fan?
  3. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) Jim Sorgi is the Energizer Bunny?!
  4. QUOTE(YASNY @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) Not enough. You'll have to throw in Jenks too. But then they'd end up trading both of them to us for like half of the AA team (as per their pattern this offseason).
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) BTw I wouldnt mind if we spent a top pick on a CB but with how late we are going to be in the draft I just dont think we could find someone that will really be better than either Vasher or Tillman.... or even Azumah.... if we could get that kid from Virgina tech Id be all over it. Yeah, you and every other fan of a team that will be picking in the 20+ range. There's no way Jimmy Williams falls that far. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Dec 6, 2005 -> 07:18 PM) I would go, Marcedes Lewis, Davis and Leonard Pope, in that order. I doubt Lewis is available, but Davis might be. What can't you love about a 6-3 TE that has 4.4 speed? Blocking skills, which he doesn't have. I think Leonard Pope is the most complete TE in the draft but that's JMO. For a sleeper candidate at TE, look at Joel Klopfstein from Colorado, who'll likely go in the 2nd-3rd.
  6. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) Bears @ Pitt will be by far the most difficult game the Bears play during the regular season (including upcoming games). Pittsburgh (despite a little above avg record) is one of the best teams in the NFC and Big Ben should have his timing back. Its going to be a hell of a challenge for Chicago. When did the Steelers move into the NFC? QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) Best pic of the weekend: That was funny, but I thought the fact that the Titans couldn't punch it in from 2 yards out with 4 chances was even funnier.
  7. QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 01:13 AM) Now why would BMAC change his number? Because he wanted to?
  8. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 10:25 PM) Um, why in the world would Billy Beane trade for a guy who's going to leave next year? They might as well keep Zito who is the better pitcher if they're going to keep guys on 1 year deals. Garland's not going anywhere unless Boston offers us Ortiz, Ramirez, and there 2 best pitching prospects. So Zito is better than Garland, but Garland's value is Ortiz, Ramirez, and Boston's 2 best pitching prospects (??? and Papelbon)? So is Zito's value Ortiz, Ramirez, Varitek, and their 3 best pitching prospects?
  9. Is the press conference televised? If so, where, and is there online coverage?
  10. You forgot Skip Bayless, Mike Patrick, and Paul Maguire. All deserve death strikes as well.
  11. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) I've heard good things about this Manning guy. Who is that? I've never heard of him. I guess I'll have to watch the next game more closely, but I hope you're right about this Manning. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) Kind of hard to win when the Colts have a better head coach, QB, RB, WR's, OL, DL, LB's, CB's, Punter, Kicker, and Special teams in general. This is the life of a Steelers fan with Cowher at the helm, decent success in the regular season and choke after choke in the big games. Fun stuff. I think someone is being a little bit hard on their team after a tough loss.
  12. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) Would the Texans trade down and offer another team Reggie Bush? They don't really need a RB. The Texans (if they wind up with the #1 overall pick) will get a very good return on a trade down. I would guess that some team in the 3-5 range might give up their 1st this year, their 1st next year, and their 3rd this year to get that #1 pick (which should and likely will be Reggie Bush). QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) If they pass on Reggie Bush because they have Dominick Davis, they will regret it forever. Bush will be a superstar in the league for years to come where as Davis ain't looking to hot when he's on the field and not hurt. The Texans aren't exactly set at RB IMO and should take Bush if they end up with the first pick. Why? So he can average 2.8 YPC behind their horrible line and end up injured? The Texans DESPERATELY need OL help. If they don't trade out of the #1 spot and draft D'Brickashaw Ferguson, they are fools.
  13. No video link for the press conference?

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 24, 2005 -> 01:57 AM) SUPER BEARS! SUPER BOWL! That's fine with me, as long as it's followed shortly thereafter by SUPER LOSS!
  15. Who voted Ichiro? Seattle isn't moving him.
  16. I don't know if this has already been said here or not, but the minor leaguers the Sox are giving up are Gio Gonzalez and Dan Haigwood. Here is the article I obtained this info from.
  17. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Nov 19, 2005 -> 05:50 PM) If the Bears dont draft Alan Zemiatis this April I'm going to kill them Be prepared to kill them then, because they may draft Zemaitis, but they won't be drafting Zemiatis.
  18. C'mon CJ, guarantee a win this week. Freeney already did.
  19. What's with the Indians getting love from the sportswriters? I mean Shapiro over Kenny for exec of the year, Lee 4th in Cy voting, Buehrle & Garland 5th & 6th respectively, and now Hafner 5th, Konerko 6th in AL MVP voting. Well, at least we beat them when and where it counted, and the one place where idiotic opinions don't matter.
  20. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) Holy f***ing s***. The Packers and the Vikings both beat playoff teams today. All four teams in our sorry-ass division won. Attribute this to the "Blind Squirrel-Acorn" theory.
  21. Dear lord, please give Kenny Williams the wisdom to let Mike Piazza sign with Anaheim.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 04:11 AM) How do you know Rowand had a down year. Other people can just look at it and say 2004 was a fluke year and 2005 was the real Rowand. Disagree with it if you want, that part is just opinion. It's not even close to being the most important part of what I was saying, and what should be being discussed here.
  23. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 02:02 AM) The Cell was more of a homerun haven than Citizens Bank Park was this past season and yet Rowand hit only 13 homers. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/stats/parkfa...tor&season=2005 Rowand had a down year. I'm not saying Wells isn't a better power hitter than Rowand, but the discrepancy isn't all that great. That's where adding Marte in the deal comes in. That would more than cover the discrepancy trade value wise, and would likely send some $ to cover Abreu's contract to the Sox.
