  1. Which, if any, of the White Sox prospects do you think have a chance to make the 25-man roster in 2006?
  2. Seriously, how do you vote more than once?
  3. A.J. is the reason the Sox have such a good pitching staff IMO. Why stop him? It's only going to get into their heads and maybe make them strike out the next time they get up. I say go for it, but I guess that's why I'm a fan.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) whats his october avg .150
  5. How are you guys "flooding it"? I only got one vote.
  6. Hasn't the AL taken like 5 All-Star games in a row and 6 of the last 7 or maybe even more than that?

  8. 8-4 Giants, and the Twinkies STILL SUCK!
  9. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 06:09 PM) As for trading to play keep away that's a horrible idea for a mid 70 payroll team. Let the Yankees & Red Sox engage in that strategy. Didn't we give away some prospects to help the Mets get Kris Benson last year, thus keeping him from the Twins?

  11. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 11, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) One thing to keep in mind: If we win the division and the twinkies win the wild card, we play them in the first round If we lose the division to them and still win the wilkd card, we still play them in he first round Who focking cares? PS: This post assumes the White Sox or Twinkies will be best team in AL if they wint he division. No matter what order the teams finish in, the Sox will not face the Twins in the first round of the playoffs, if both teams go. If the Sox are the best team in baseball and the Twins win the Wild Card, the Twins will face the 2nd best AL team, and the Sox will face the 3rd best AL team. The same applies if the roles of the teams are reversed.
  12. I'd prefer a 7 or so game cushion for the year, but that's just me. My only problem with that small of a lead is it can be overcome in a few games. A 7 game lead is a lot harder to overcome than a 3-5 game lead.
  13. Don't know the exact stats on the 83 team, but the 05 starters have 33 of the Sox 41 wins (10 for Garland, 7 for Buehrle, 7 for Duque, 6 for Freddy, and 3 for Count). If they continue that pace, they'll rank among the best staffs of all-time, let alone franchise history.
  14. Tonight's game is another shining example proving the theory that the Twinkies SUCK!
  15. Garland's 10th, Buehrle's 8th, and Freddy's 7th comin up!
  16. I liked it. He didn't say which pitch he thinks he needs to improve the most though.
  17. QUOTE(doUrememberwhen @ Jun 10, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) b/c i wanted the feliz trade thread outta site, and didn't wan't to waste an hour doing so. So it took you an hour to post that? Pretty sad if that's the case.
  18. QUOTE(YahtzeeSox @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:59 PM) What Hawkism did Grace say??? HE GAWWWWWN!
  19. There's already a thread that is dedicated to the driection this topic seems to be headed toward. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34762
  20. I'd love to have Pedro Feliz on the Sox, so it won't happen. Either that, or we'll overpay by a lot for him.
  21. Which of your pitches do you consider your out pitch? Which of your pitches do you think you need to work on and improve?
  22. From what I saw, Ryan Rote and Derek Rodriguez could be good late round picks. Rote looked to have some control issues, but good velocity on both his 2 seam fastball and 4 seam fastball, both of which were 94 MPH most of the time. He also had a slider/cutter that didn't break too much and was clocked at 86-87 MPH. Rodriguez had ok velocity, topping out at 90 MPH. He had pretty good control, and the break on his 2 seamer was unbelievable. His offspeed pitches also looked pretty good. He threw a good curve that broke well and usually went 76 MPH and a decent change that also went 76 MPH. Just my opinion (other than the speeds of course).
  23. From the scouting video I just watched, he has a good 2 seamer that was always clocked at 89 MPH, a wicked curve that was clocked in the 77-81 MPH range, and a good change that was clocked at 80-81 MPH. His 4 seamer was unimpressive IMO. It was clocked at 87 MPH. QUOTE(shagar69 @ Jun 7, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) i have never seen him play and i dont konw what to make of those stats, so the best way i can judge him is if i know what current major league pitcher his style is similar to. any thoughts draft experts? It said on the draft tracker on mlb.com that his style was similar to Justin Duscherer.
