Since there's another topic about this that I can't respond in... http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/posting.php ^ I believe that's what you were looking for. -

Who cares? Hell, Larry Brown, one of the most esteemed and respected coaches in the NBA, blew up at a reporter recently when asked about taking the FO job with the Cavs. Everybody is going to have their bad moments where they aren't going to take tough questions very well. Sometimes it seems like some people forget that coaches, managers, GMs, etc. are still human.

Okay, so we've seen all the "Get Player X" threads over the past month or so, which is starting to make me wonder what everyone thinks we need most to be a better baseball team. So, what do we need? Maybe we're just fine the way we are?
-
Well, we almost had K-Rod to thank for a White Sox winner tonight. If Uribe doesn't pull that pitch (is that possible?), We're talking about a White Sox winner on a Juan Uribe Grand Slam. Woohoo, my 100th post!

If Kong & AJ finish this year with their career June stats, I will be the happiest Sox fan in the world.

Getting Everyday Eddie to help seal the deal against the Twins would be nice.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 2, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) How many managers do you see snap at a simple question asked by a reporter? Plenty, especially after a close ballgame, and especially when that simple question basically criticizes him. You'll see this across sports, not just in baseball.

QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) Chavez would be nice, but am I the only one that doesn't want to give up BMAC? For that fact, I don't want to part with Anderson, Sweeney, or Gio either. I'm with you on this. I'd opt for a cheaper option who would still get the job done. -
Why the HELL was Kevin Walker put in a 1 run ballgame? That was about the dumbest move that could have been made. Shingo, Marte, and/or Cotts HAD to be available, and one should have been used. Before anyone asks, I would definitely want to see Cotts in there ahead of Walker. At least Cotts has pitched this year.

GAME THREAD 6-1-2005 SOX VS HALOS

QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 03:01 AM) I wish Ozzie would try uribe at 3rd for a change, gooch at ss, and willie at 2b, BTW Didn't Gooch seem to hit Santana's changeup earlier this year ok? If you're going to do that, I'd rather see Willie moved to SS. Iguchi is a 2B. -
GAME THREAD 6-1-2005 SOX VS HALOS
Dam8610 replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in 2005 Season in Review
Here's the lineup I'd like to see: LF Podsednik 2B Willie CF Rowand 1B Konerko C Pierzynski RF Dye DH Everett 3B Crede SS Uribe -
Call him The Thief and play "Hail to The Thief" (aka Hail to the Chief) every time he comes to the plate.
-
It sure did, Twinkies lose to the Tribe 4-3 at the Metrodome! This should really get bumped more often, maybe we'll see more Twinkie losses.
-
When the Twins win the AL West, they'll be going to the Super Bowl, right?
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 1, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) If you look around the league every playoff caliber team has a big time left handed hitter So do we. He bats leadoff and disrupts the flow of the game for the pitcher every time he's on base.

GAME THREAD 6-1-2005 SOX VS HALOS

I like that lineup since he struggles against lefties, except keep ARow in the 3 hole where he's on fire and move Everett down below AJ. -
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 31, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) So we're all agreed that everyone loves Raul Mondesi? We sure could use a big bat like Mondesi in the lineup, and his defense is AMAZING. How could we not bring him in?
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 31, 2005 -> 11:11 PM) I just watched the replay of Crede's homer at WhiteSox.com. That was probably his best swing in his career. It was perfect. I agree. Can we fasten him to a chair somewhere and force him to watch that swing over and over and over and over until that's the only swing he can envision which will hopefully force him to swing that way all the time?

If it's a wish list: 1) Jake Peavy 2) Albert Pujols 3) Ichiro Suzuki 4) Bobby Abreu If it's a realistic list (by team needs): 1) bullpen help 2) better bat at 3B 3) better bat in RF 4) 6th starter (for when El Duque needs a prolonged rest)
-
Two words: HELL NO! That is quite possibly the worst trade the White Sox could realistically make. Take Buehrle and Hoffman out and replace Anderson with a lesser prospect, and I'd do it in a heartbeat, because Jake Peavy already is what we're all hoping Brandon McCarthy is going to be.
-
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 31, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) You're right – we'd better make it 10+ Halfway to 10 after tonight's game.
-
Isn't Raul Mondesi spanish for Jermaine Dye?
-
Cliff Politte just finished off another solid outing in which he went 1 2/3 without allowing a baserunner. I say he should be given the 8th inning when the Sox are trying to hold a lead and get the ball to Dustin to shut the door. He's got microscopic batting averages allowed whether he's facing lefties or righties and Hermanson is the only pitcher on the team with a lower ERA. I think Politte in the 8th followed by Hermanson in the 9th would = many White Sox winners.

QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ May 31, 2005 -> 12:38 AM) We all love it when the Sox win. The beer tastes better, the sun shines brighter, and we are all happy. Really? There are some people that really fooled me today with what they've posted after the game.
