The problem with this line of thinking is there will always be a reason not to, and that's what the establishment will seize on. Each. And. Every. Time. That's interesting. He appears to be throwing a curveball there, and doesn't seem to have a slider, but in the video below (and other videos I've seen of him in 2018), he clearly throws a slider. So are you saying Hillary was a bad Dem or trying to blame Bernie for her atrocious campaigning, like going after Texas when there was no chance she'd win there instead of securing the three states that ended up being the difference in WI, MI, and PA? I hope it's the former, as the latter has no real basis in reality. Also, I don't think sitting down and shutting up is something that's credit worthy, but maybe that's why you're so fond of the establishment. They're pretty good at that, especially when it matters to speak up and dissent.

I do like the way Singer locates his pitches and the way the movement of his fastball and slider play off one another (unless you can read the spin, it's hard to tell watching him which way the ball is going to break). That said, I think any of the 3 college bats or Mize will be more valuable players long term. What will make things really interesting is if the Tigers go Kelenic at 1-1. That would be the best scenario for the Sox, as two of Mize, Bart, Bohm, and Madrigal would make it to 4. I want Madrigal, but would not be disappointed with any of the other 3. I would be slightly disappointed with Singer, but hopeful that the Sox pitching development team could develop him beyond the projections given in scouting circles of a mid rotation fast riser. I'd like to see him move when the rest of the key players on that team get promoted. I'd like to see the White Sox use the Cardinals model for player development in that regard, where they promote groups and it means several of the same players are around one another and comfortable with each other. I think it's one of the reasons they so often have players randomly turn into 3-4 WAR guys out of nowhere.

Mostly that matchup like this and random chance are the reason it's very difficult for a baseball team to win less than 60 games in a season.

I haven't seen his catching, so until the org moves him off the position, I'm going to remain optimistic that he can stick there. His bat is valuable, but it's so much more valuable if he can stick at C. A 4 WAR bat at 1B (full season) is a 6-7 WAR bat at C (full season).
