  1. I’m not sure why you’re asking, but the answer is a resounding “Yes!” when it comes to his on-air and Twitter personas. Total d-bag.
  2. They’ve played about as badly as can be imagined, and they’re only 2 games back in the division and 2.5 out of the wild card. TLR was napping for the first 100 games. “It’s go time.”
  3. After he serves a 3 game suspension, he’ll come back, play one game, and take a day off to rest his legs. This season sucks.
  4. Another issue is every guy in the bullpen seems to pitch one inning every game, so nobody is ever fresh. Makes no sense that a guy will have a 12 pitch inning, but the Sox brain trust doesn’t think he can go another inning or at least get a few more outs. Every game is a starter going no more than 5 or 6 innings, and 3 or 4 relievers have to be perfect every day.
  5. I wasn’t sure if he’d be able to make up the one game difference with all the leg injuries, but you’ve talked me into it. 99 wins it is.
  6. ‘83 Sox were 49-47 at the 96 game mark. TLR’s got this team at 48-48 - only one game off that pace. It’s all working out according to his master plan. 98 win season is all but assured.
  7. The Sox have never paid anyone $75M. What would make people think they’d commit to paying Soto the $500M+ he’s looking to be paid?
  8. He must be deceptive because everyone is late. Even the hits have been opposite field.
  9. “Grand swing” is such a bad call. Back on topic, hopefully this is nothing serious and passes quickly - like at the end of this 10 day DL stint.
  10. I have a similar issue with people I work with who don’t know when to end a conversation, or get triggered to start on a new topic when it should be pretty clear that I’m either very busy, not interested, or what they’re talking about has nothing to do with me/my work. One girl will walk up to my desk, see I’m on a teleconference, and still start talking to me. Even if I say, “I’m in a meeting”, she’ll acknowledge but plow ahead with whatever she was going to say.
  11. Every so often, someone posts a Sox memory that includes Terry Bevington, and I seriously think I’d rather have him than TLR.
  12. Riordan is no longer my go to guy for Sox news. You’ve been promoted. Congrats.
  13. Me too. Seriously, why would someone even care about this.
  14. If you give up 5 runs in an inning, does the ump even bother checking if you were using the sticky stuff?
  15. I’m seeing a slimmed down Prop Joe from The Wire when Ramirez is up.
  16. Finally got gas for less than $5 today. $4.99 at my local Shell minus $0.25 per gallon with my TMobile Tuesday reward. $4.74 - they’re practically giving it away now.
  17. Someone want to explain why when I try to pour coffee from the pot to my cup, and I do it over my counter, some always dribbles down the pot and spills? If I remember I have this infuriating problem and pour into the cup and do it over my sink, not a drop spills. I don’t get it. Think Hank Green would look into it?
  18. Lopez has the ability to go multiple innings. If he has an easy inning, he should get another. It saves the bullpen for the next game/series. I’m continually stunned with TLR’s pen mismanagement. Expecting four guys to pitch perfectly every game is dumb. He and Duncan basically invented modern bullpen usage, but he seems to have forgotten it all.
  19. The division is bad. There are plenty of games left. The Sox have lots of talent. If they stay healthy, no reason to think they can’t make the playoffs. If they make the playoffs, no reason to think they can’t win a series or two or three. Also, no reason to think any of that happens.
  20. Also, news stories weren’t aggregated to individuals based on the last thing they read, and the thing before that, and…
  21. It’ll be hard to win 8 of 10 if they only win 7 of 11. Not impossible with a HOF baseball person at the helm, but it will take some lucky breaks.
