  1. Well, let's take it easy, fellas. I wouldn't want to "burn" Ozzie just yet. We still have the best record in baseball. He's still young and learning. Relax.
  2. It's like Oz was listening to the people who say he sticks with starters too long, so he pulled Contreras. But Walker? Come on. I don't want him in a game unless it's garbage time. :banghead :banghead
  3. No way do I get rid of BMac at this point. NO...FRIGGIN'...WAY. Sure, he's still unproven but young pitchers with that much talent and promise don't come along often. If you have a potential ace at 21, you keep him. Contreras and El Duque aren't young. With Buehrle, Garland, and BMac you're talking about three guys in their mid-20s or younger that could be a nucleus like Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz were for the Braves. Crazy talk? I don't think so. I also don't like the way Chavez has struggled without big-time talent around him in the lineup. Of course, you'd expect him to struggle without the guys the As had in the past, but he's looked pretty bad, no? The truly good hitters get it done whether thay have other big bats around them or not. I'd be pissed off like a mofo if BMac is traded.
  4. Bump. Maybe Crede reads this forum. One day after we rip him he comes up with a couple of hits and the winning run. Maybe he was pissed off. So just in case: Crede, if you're reading, you're still a worthless bum! Yeah, that's right! There. I hope that works.
  5. Props to Crede as well. Two hits in a single game. That's a friggin' miracle.
  6. Crede's time is definitely running out. How long does he get to prove he can play? I can be a patient guy, but his suckage is getting old. He's a human highlight reel of called third strikes and popups. Something has to break there.
  7. Coors Field is awesome. And there are plenty of bars right outside the gates. So you'll have that going for you, which is nice.
  8. QUOTE(ptatc @ May 23, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) winning isn't everything, IT'S THE ONLY THING!!!!!!! Amen.
  9. FWIW, when I used to caddy I had Brad Palmer one time. The guy is a jackass. Total jackass. That said, Ozzie needs to understand that part of being the manager is dealing with the media. It's in the job description. I also think taking out BMac was a bad move. Let the kid show what he's got. If he loses the lead, so what? It happens. It still would have been a very solid debut. So give him a chance to be a hero.
  10. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Apr 26, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) As soon as people stop reading him. If people read him it's because he's right inside the cover. BAM! He's right in your face. I just wish the Sun-Times would pick somebody else to be in the face of Chicago sports fans everyday. He's a punk.
  11. This actually doesn't bother me much. If people don't care, oh well. Maybe they'll care in September. It's better that the Sox get to do their thing without the world bearing down on them anyway.
  12. I was just watching Around the Horn. Normally, I don't like that show but they were talking about the White Sox when I was flipping by. They were doing "buy or sell" on the Sox winning the Central. The first two guys bought, but Mariotti sold. Of course he did. Tony Reali said to him, "Mariotti picking against Chicago. So Predictable. Jay, how do you have any readers?" HAHAHAHA!!!!! I often wonder the same thing. That a-hole Mariotti always rips the Sox and now that they have their best start ever he goes on national TV and disses them. When will Mariotti get run out of town? He makes me want to puke.
  13. The Sox will be fine. Buehrle, Garland and Garcia will each win 15 games. El Duque will win at least 10. And hopefully, Contreras can stay healthy and be consistent. The Sox aren't going to collapse. Don't worry about it.
  14. Nothing against Frank, but this news actually makes me a little happy. As good as Frank is I'd rather not risk the good vibes. Frank always says he has changed but I don't think he ever does.
  15. Haha! Maybe. But seriously, am I the only one who has noticed this? It's weird. Check it out. During about the fifth inning listen and Hawk won't say anything for like 10-20 minutes. Of course, now that I mentioned this, he probably will.
  16. Has anyone noticed that in the middle of games Hawk Harrelson disappears for awhile? It usually happens around the fifth inning. DJ will take over and he'll be the only one talking for, it seems, an entire inning. It's like Hawk leaves the booth to use the bathroom or something. And it seems to happen everytime I watch. I can't catch every game on TV but this seems to happen every time I watch. Does anyone know anything about this?
