  1. One of the things I love about baseball is that a lot of times, wins and losses don't matter. It's an individual/team sport. There are always opportunities to enjoy the game, even if your team is trash. I don't care if the Sox win or lose. I want to see Crochet, Thorpe, Vaughn, Robert etc play well. That's all that matters right now.
  2. Who cares? We're trying to develop players, not win games.
  3. I'm very impressed with Thorpe's progress thus far.
  4. It's fine. He's given up 2 over 6IP. He's in his 4th big league start.
  5. 8 swinging strikes in 5 innings. He's missing enough bats.
  6. Have you tried the Goose Island Tropical Beer Hug? It's an Imperial IPA, like the Voodoo Ranger, but isn't syrupy at all. Much better brew imo.
  7. He's so damn coordinated, with a LH easy swing, that's it's hard to believe he's 18. Just the way he moves around the bases. Looks like a small forward. George is to the Sox what Buzelis is to the Bulls.
  8. When he does hit them, they're pure.
  9. This is truly elite talent right here. Since 2000, I'd say that Robert and Borchard were the only players that have his type of upside in the Sox system. That type of easy oppo is impressive.
  10. Fair. He was actually talking about the majority though. ?
  11. For the record, any ire in my posts wasn't directed at you. I think you're a very reasonable poster.
  12. Unless you actually read his post verbatim.
  13. Telling people to "stay safe" at the Half Way to St Patricks Day sponsored by Miller Light promotion also seems pretty reasonable.
  14. It's kind of odd that you wouldn't consider that in a city that's historically been incredibly racist and segregated by intentional design - to the extent that it should be criminal.
  15. I interpreted that as in "tonight's a party night at a park that rarely sells out." Party night means that more people will be intoxicated.
  16. Tray was speaking of the city as a whole. I compared the South Side because the Sox have identified themselves as "Chicago's South Side team" for the last century or so.
  17. You've never seen people compare populations in terms of people of color to white people? It's been literally the standard demographic comparison since 1865.
  18. I can't see any other reason somebody would take offence to Tray's factually based post.
  19. I'm pretty shocked that you've been to Bridgeport recently and haven't noticed.
  20. How does that pointy hood feel?
  21. I'm not yelling. Some people are feeling the need to redefine the argument. Feels like they're experiencing some white victimhood/Trump vibes to me.
  22. That wasn't the premise that Tray proposed. I'm not sure how it's relevant. Comparing white and black/hispanic populations was what his post was about.
  23. The Demographic Statistical Atlas of the United States - Statistical Atlas I live in Bridgeport, and based on my anecdotal experience, it's certainly majority Asian.
  24. The majority of Bridgeport is Asian - 41%.
