  1. A hurt Flowers is still better than Phegley at every part of the game, including pitch calling. They both suck, but Flowers still has more potential IMO. He's also already been caught while Phegley hasn't. *wink wink*
  2. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 11:19 PM) No they shouldn't. He was on track and looking great, and then a horrific ankle injury derailed him. Mitchell being a bust is thanks to fate. It amazes me that everyone overlooks an injury that severe to push their agenda. Sox fans make me sick sometimes. Seriously, it can be hard being a Sox fan when you realize how sports stupid this fan base can be.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 08:58 PM) Do you trust one of these college guys to be an impact hitter, though? What about that can't miss guy we got from Auburn or wherever, Mitchell. Isn't he looking like a big bust? I'd sign Abreu and some free agents and try to totally rebuild the lineup with $$$ in one offseason. Mitchell was like the 23rd pick in the draft and never considered "can't miss." He was an elite HS player and CWS MVP. It's called Google. Stop asking stupid questions and do a minimal amount of research. Www.google.com
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 12:15 PM) The stronger you are, the more sustainable that is because OF's have to play deeper. To add to that, when you're as strong as Garcia, those shanks go over infielders heads.
  5. I just can't bring myself to root for the Sox to lose. I don't care how logical it is, it's not in my DNA.
  6. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 08:26 PM) Tried 4 more programs, none of them worked either. After 3 hours straight of this bulls***, I may have finally found a reason to end my misery. Obviously not the answer I wanted, but I guess I can just stop trying and remove my fist from the wall. I put this command in, and was given back info saying...... Apparently it can't support a hosted network I guess? No idea why, but I guess that's pretty cool. No Chromecast or PS3 in my room for me. Also, I get to move my 90 pound TV up the stairs in to my bedroom now, to swap w/ the one that's in there. f***ing sweet, can't wait. I hate technology. Doesn't your laptop have an HDMI out? Jesus.
  7. Not the biggest fan of him debuting at Yankee Stadium against Sabathia.
  8. I really don't care if Flowers or Phegley are back, but from what I've seen, Flowers has more talent and a better pedigree. They've both been garbage this year though.
  9. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Aug 29, 2013 -> 04:57 PM) It's like a vampire that craft beer. If you let an american pale ale bite you, you will become one of us. douchebaggy that is Trust me, it's not the beer that makes me dislike Map Room. There are few thing that I like more than craft beer.
  10. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Aug 29, 2013 -> 03:29 PM) I wonder if Ozzie is more a Map Room guy or a Danny's guy Neither. Not hipster enough for Danny's and not douchebag yuppie enough for the Map Room. Actually, I haven't been to Danny's in a couple years. I'm sure it's just as douchebag as Map Room now.
  11. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 28, 2013 -> 09:09 PM) Doesn't a mosque get suicide bombed in Pakistan once a week?? Correct me if I'm wrong, but are those not Muslims attacking the mosques? There's a few things to consider here. First, many Muslims still consider Jerusalem one of their holy cities. The Jews are occupying it and they won't destroy their own shrines in order to drive out the occupation. There's a ton of historical precedence here. Consider Saladin's role in conquering Jerusalem. Second, there's a mutual respect for the city by all 3 religions involved in these conflicts and the city is symbolic. Last, regarding Muslim sects attacking mosques, for some reason it's human nature to treat one's own more harshly. Even our own civil war was arguably the most horrific conflict Americans have been involved in aside from Japan.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 04:15 PM) Is Hawkins the most disappointing offensive prospect in baseball this year? Cody Buckel is probably the most disappointing pitching prospect in the minors. Profar or Olt.
  13. I'm really encouraged by Danks. His command of his off speed stuff has improved. He's got more movement and he's missing more bats. If he ever regains that velocity, he's going to be a beast.
  14. That was the best looking swing I've seen Phegley take. Very encouraging.
  15. That was sad. That's as hard as PK can hit a ball these days and it was to the track. He even thought it was gone.
  16. Where did Garcia peak on the top 100 list?
  17. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 12:08 AM) I can't get over an upper 80s fastball from a RHP. That's what concerns me about him. Pretty limited upside for pitchers like that. He's like 18 and thrown more innings than he's ever thrown. You have to be kidding me.
  18. Who says Dunn doesn't hit in high pressure situations? /semi-sarcasm
