  1. Why didn't anybody listen to a random nobody like me posting on a tiny message board? I don't know, Caulfield. I told you to start making sense.
  2. They might want him to work on a specific part of his game that won't improve while he's overwhelmed at this level.
  3. The Cease trade looks pretty amazing so far. Other than that, these are all really minor moves. We have no MLB assets.
  4. Just focus on trying to make sense for once.
  5. I don't think you're wrong, but the majority of these moves are completely inconsequential. If he traded Montgomery for some serviceable MLB players so that we could win 60 games, then I would be irate. These other moves really don't matter.
  6. From what you heard? I respect your opinion man, but you're a message board poster.
  7. The Sox obviously value velocity less than other teams. Pitchers routinely lose a couple MPH when we acquire them. You care about velocity more than anyone in this site. That's why it makes no sense for you to cry about Mena.
  8. Adults are talking. Go stalk some Padres.
  9. You're the one that talks about nothing but velocity, not me.
  10. Yeah, teams really wanted a LH reliever with a 6.9 era over 59 innings. I'm sure Getz phone was ringing off the hook.
  11. Panicking would he calling up Schultz, Montgomery and Thorpe and then trading Robert DFA'ing Horn is not panicking. Besides, if you're going to panic, starting 3-22 seems like a decent time to start
  12. Mena is a RH that throws 92 and has inconsistent command. Of all the people on here that shouldn't care about trading a kid that doesn't throw hard, it should be you.
  13. He turned a bad farm system into a top 10 system while trading 1 real asset - Cease. I don't think he's done a good job. I also realize he has very little to work with.
  14. The Braves trade wasn't interesting? We traded them Aaron fucking Bummer. What did you expect?
  15. What prospects did he DFA? Bailey Horn isn't even top 30 in our farm.
  16. Yeah, so he can be blamed for rushing prospects. That makes sense. It would be criminal to introduce your solid prospects into this s%*# show. He could keep Colas and Sosa up, but it's pretty clear there's something wrong with Colas' attitude and Sosa screams AAAA. Either way, it's doubtful they're difference makers.
  17. You have to fill a roster.
  18. He inherited a historically bad major league team with a bad farm system, a historically cheap owner and 2 valuable assets - Cease and Robert. What's he supposed to do?
  19. There's literally nothing he can do about it. There's no way for him to improve the roster.
  20. The Super Bowl era started 57 years ago. The Bears are a historically bad franchise. If you want to count the era where the Bears were beating up on the Dayton Triangles, Rochester Jeffersons and Rock Island Independents, go for it. I doubt anyone else is going to find it relevant.
  21. Fields made the OL look a lot worse than they actually are. Williams will break Bears records.
  22. They went to the World Series once, when there were only 16 teams in the league. I'm not trying to s%*# on the Sox, only the idea that Chicago is somehow above this. This city is home to the Bears, Cubs and Sox. All 3 franchisers are loser franchisers and known as loser franchises.
  23. Skip work, get day drunk and go laugh at the "lovable losers."
  24. They never won a thing during that stretch and the franchise has always been known as a loser franchise. Chicago White Sox - "at least we aren't the Clippers" The Cubs success has nothing to do with winning and everything to do with Lakeview becoming the premier neighborhood for postgrad Midwestern transplants.
