I can't figure out how Thorpe projects, but after watching his change up over dozens of hitters, it's the best pitch that's came through the Sox system since Sale's slider. There's multiple variations of the pitch, and they're all nasty. He can make it tail or sink based off the match up. Originally, I compared him to Radke, but I also see a lot of RH Jose Quintana. I'd also rank Cease's 4 seamer up there. It's the heaviest 98 you'll ever see.

Sox now 1-7, on pace for 20-142 record

I missed part of this. After the Tatis trade, you took it upon yourself to rub it in our faces for multiple years and actively become a Padres fan. I don't think there's a poster on the board who doesn't acknowledge that the Sox are a trash franchise that's run as poorly as any franchise in the history of sports. Reminding everyone while you fellate the Padres and Tatis is just an asshole move. Now you're trying to do the same with the Orioles system and the Cease trade. It's just pathetic. Lip openly rooted against the Sox in 05. He's just a miserable dude and Sox fans already have to endure enough misery just by following the team. I actually love Fathom as a poster, but sometimes he really needs to read the room. -

If you guys could keep the incessant whining out of the Future Sox board, that would be great. Last night's thread was ruined on what was a good night for a lot of our prospects. -

Just a head's up, offices no longer have mailrooms. It's 2024. -

Creepy Caulfield gushing over them is like a curse. It happened to Puig, Tatis, and the Padres. -
Maybe you could contain the nonstop b**** fest to the MLB board and give some respite to those who just want to follow the minor leagues? It's 14 year old edge lord s%*#.

Lip is now one of the biggest contributors to this board. Year's ago, a lot of us left WSI to get away from the Lip's of the world. The change to b**** culture on this board is to be expected. I was hoping they would stay away from the Future board, but now Caulfield's creepy ass is spending hours nutting in his own face over the Orioles AAA team. -
Thank you. This thread turned to s%*# when Caufield, Fathom and that other person with anime pic came over. The first couple pages were pleasant.

I like to read the game thread without watching the game or checking the box score. It's impossible to tell what's happening. -
White Sox bring Mike Clevinger back, pending physical

You know your team sucks when there's multiple pages of people arguing about Jose Rodriguez and Cristian Mena. -
Sox speaking about bringing back Clevinger

Doesn't that depend on whether Clevinger was a good teammate? He's been around and had a lot of success. -

It's been proven that Bauer was targeted. The issue with Bauer is that he he seems uncoachable. He's going to do whatever the hell he wants. They loved the theatrics in Japan, but if he's going to do it here, he better be Cy Young Bauer, not mediocre Bauer. Clevinger is a bit different as his accuser is an ex. MLB investigated his case exhaustively and cleared him. I'm not sure what else he can do. Playing "Gold Digger" was insensitive as hell, but it's also an act of somebody who's pretty confident they're innocent. -
After watching a lot of Thorpe, Snelling and Lesko, I like Thorpe more than Lesko. Lesko reminds me a bit of a poor man's AJ Burnett. He throws hard and his change has a lot of natural drop, but there's not a lot of deception. I'm sure the spin metrics love him, but he's a good indicator of why delivery/deception can be more important than raw movement. Snelling is super interesting. HIgh effort delivery with a nasty sweeper/slurve type of pitch, almost like Buehrle, but he also throws a really heavy 4 seamer at about 96. As good as that 4 seamer looks, I think I'd rather have Buehrle's cutter. That cutter won't get the swinging strikes, but it's impossible for RH hitters to hit and lay off of.

I don't give a s%*# about infidelity. I do give a s%*# about abuse and nothing has shown that Clevinger and Bauer are abusers. If a woman consents to rough, consensual sex, that's not abuse. -
7:23 - "Chicago's monster lineup." ? Basically, this video is showing that he was able to get k's by hanging change up's because the short arm delivery was super deceptive.

I know nothing about Bauer or Clevinger's politics. Considering they're baseball players, I assume the worst. With that said, everything that's been verified about both Bauer and Clevinger shows they're dumb kids that like to party and have made some bad decisions. That evidence has also shown both were set up. MLB would absolutely love to nail both of them. They cost Bauer hundreds of millions. If there was any real evidence that proved they were abusers, neither would ever be eligible again. From what I can tell, Bauer comes off like a guy that wants to challenge convention at every opportunity and Clevinger is just kind of dumb. -
I want to say Pitching Ninja did a video on Gio which showed it really wasn't the sticky stuff, but I'm not completely sure. I believe he's one the best examples of a guy whose delivery was way more important than his spin rate and velo. A good comp would be Mark Prior.

Here's the latest video on Bauer's Youtube. I just don't see this guy as a psychopath.
