  1. I have absolutely no interest in reading celebrity gossip articles about a baseball player and his relationships. Just like Frank, Anderson has been treated terribly by this fanbase and it's incredibly embarrassing.
  2. Couldn't agree more. The way Anderson is treated reminds me of how poorly Frank was treated by this fanbase. Sox fans suck.
  3. This is most likely it. The Sox basically used this money to sign 2 kids the Dodger already signed. It's better than holding onto it.
  4. Any time you can get a top 100 prospect for Burger, it's a good trade. Jake Burger is not a good baseball player.
  5. Yeah, I forgot to add that now he's in the NL and can't play defense. I like Burger, but we turning him into a top 100 prospect is a net positive.
  6. I'm sure a 240 lb 27 year old with 2 torn achilles and a career .290 obp is someone they identified and had to have.
  7. The way the real world works is that when you have contacts within an organization, you reach out to them and go from there. It sounds like Ng knows Kenny, and gave him a call. This is the way business is done in the real world. Shocking, I know.
  8. It's almost like in the business world, people reach out to their contacts.
  9. Hopefully Burger doesn't enter that Puig/Tatis territory where Caufield is so obnoxious and unlikable that you start hoping the kid fails.
  10. Am I the only person who thinks it's crazy to have a strong opinion on Jake Burger either way?
  11. This really comes down to Sox fans having an affinity for fat white kids with power.
  12. Burger is a nice story and all, but we just got a LH starter prospect that throws 96+ with a ++ slider. How could anyone possibly complain about this?
  13. Who compares Eloy to Frank? They're completely different hitters. Why does any of this make you angry?
  14. What in the hell is wrong with you? Fuckin weirdo.
  15. Except he's 6'2 with 55 grade power and a 55 grade arm. So, basically nothing like Nick Madrigal whatsoever.
  16. I apologize for making it personal. I was out of line. However, I saw that Lip liked your post and it's making me kind of regret apologizing.
  17. Good thing the Sox haven't committed $350M to Yoan Moncada, good thing he's never had a season ending shoulder injury, and good thing he hasn't been suspended 80 games for taking PED's. Your hard on for some of these players is beyond creepy. I hope you don't actually try to interact with these players because the obsession is as weird as your creeping in China.
  18. I prefer the White Sox approach in that there's a path to recovery. The only thing saving the Padres is that their owner is uber rich and apparently doesnt care about wasting money. They're both failed teams that had different approaches. The Sox suck. The Padres suck.
  19. Well, no s%*# the Machado and Bogaerts contracts are riskier. They're both in their 30's with sub .800 OPS's and owed about $550 million combined. Tatis is risky because he's an idiot that's already been popped, had a season ending shoulder injury and has had to move the OF. All 3 of those contracts are potentially terrible, and they're all on the same mid market team. I mean, at least they're not the Mets? Do you hang out on the Padres board and talk as much s%*# about Preller?
  20. Tatis - .743 OPS. >375 PA's once in 5 years. Season ending shoulder injury. 80 game PED suspension - owed $325 million into age 36 season Machado - .654 OPS. Owed $333 million into age 40 season Bogaerts - .742 OPS. Owed $255 million into age 40 season Obviously everyone would rather have the Padres current roster, but they're in serious trouble if the team continues to underachieve.
  21. The Padres are 4 games under .500, in a mediocre market, with 3 massive contracts paying 2 players into their 40's and a 3rd who's a juicer idiot that's always injured. If it doesn't work out in the next year or two, they're absolutely crippled for over a decade.
  22. Anderson put up 3.7 WAR in 2018 while hitting .240. Gtfo with with your batting average. Tim has been well above replacement in every year of his career except 2017 where he still hit decently but got hammered by dWAR. Tim Anderson and Gordon Beckham are nothing alike as baseball players.
  23. Notice how different the tone is? They're hating on Tim because he's "outspoken and arrogant." They hated on Beckham because be was really, really bad for 90% of his career. The racist undertones are undeniable and obvious. Anderson has been really, really good for 90% of White Sox career. The 2 players couldn't be any different.
