Burger is a nice story and all, but we just got a LH starter prospect that throws 96+ with a ++ slider. How could anyone possibly complain about this?

Giolito & Reynaldo to LAA. Update: Angels put on waivers

The sunk cost fallacy is strong in this thread. -
Who compares Eloy to Frank? They're completely different hitters. Why does any of this make you angry?
-
What in the hell is wrong with you? Fuckin weirdo.
-
Except he's 6'2 with 55 grade power and a 55 grade arm. So, basically nothing like Nick Madrigal whatsoever.

I apologize for making it personal. I was out of line. However, I saw that Lip liked your post and it's making me kind of regret apologizing.

Good thing the Sox haven't committed $350M to Yoan Moncada, good thing he's never had a season ending shoulder injury, and good thing he hasn't been suspended 80 games for taking PED's. Your hard on for some of these players is beyond creepy. I hope you don't actually try to interact with these players because the obsession is as weird as your creeping in China.

Well, no s%*# the Machado and Bogaerts contracts are riskier. They're both in their 30's with sub .800 OPS's and owed about $550 million combined. Tatis is risky because he's an idiot that's already been popped, had a season ending shoulder injury and has had to move the OF. All 3 of those contracts are potentially terrible, and they're all on the same mid market team. I mean, at least they're not the Mets? Do you hang out on the Padres board and talk as much s%*# about Preller?
-
Tatis - .743 OPS. >375 PA's once in 5 years. Season ending shoulder injury. 80 game PED suspension - owed $325 million into age 36 season Machado - .654 OPS. Owed $333 million into age 40 season Bogaerts - .742 OPS. Owed $255 million into age 40 season Obviously everyone would rather have the Padres current roster, but they're in serious trouble if the team continues to underachieve.

Past time to get Anderson out of the top of the order
TaylorStSox replied to CentralChamps21's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Anderson put up 3.7 WAR in 2018 while hitting .240. Gtfo with with your batting average. Tim has been well above replacement in every year of his career except 2017 where he still hit decently but got hammered by dWAR. Tim Anderson and Gordon Beckham are nothing alike as baseball players. -

Notice how different the tone is? They're hating on Tim because he's "outspoken and arrogant." They hated on Beckham because be was really, really bad for 90% of his career. The racist undertones are undeniable and obvious. Anderson has been really, really good for 90% of White Sox career. The 2 players couldn't be any different. -

At least we aren't Philly fans isn't the win that you think it is. Go ahead and continue to throw Tim Anderson under the bus. At least it's consistent. I just feel bad for the next black American kid we develop. A lot of the fan base has a tradition to uphold. -

This post is Tim Anderson levels of delusion. The fan base is one of the most toxic imaginable, with a reputation for racism. This is the same fan base that boo'd Frank Thomas ffs. That Tim Anderson is the new whipping boy is no coincidence. -

Sox fans are the absolute worst. No wonder nobody wants to play for this franchise. -
Garfein: Tim Anderson hates pitch clock, not Chicago

You've been a cancer to White Sox message boards for 25 years. At one time this board existed to get away from posters like you. -
Nightengale: Gio won't be on 2024 White Sox
TaylorStSox replied to Lip Man 1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
A couple of the Future Sox guys were on him right when he signed, long before Law ever saw him. I'm not joking when I say it was the best internet fan scouting I've ever seen. I remember one of the guys was a regular on that board who was from California and rarely posted on the main board. Lots of posts, but I can't remember his screen name. It was the classic, wrists/bat speed/sound off the bat. -
Nightengale: Gio won't be on 2024 White Sox
TaylorStSox replied to Lip Man 1's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'd fire him simply because it's a results driven league and his teams haven't produced. However, the collection of talent he was able to put together in the rebuild was pretty extraordinary. I'm angry at the outcome, but I think, for the most part, Hahn did his job. It just didn't work out and we have to move on. I won't ever feel any ill will toward Rick Hahn. With that said, the Tatis deal is probably the worst in Sox history and might be fireable on it's own. Kudos to some of the guys on the FutureSox board who had him pegged as an elite, elite prospect before he came close to blowing up. It was probably the best example of amateur scouting I've seen on the internet. Gio moving on is suprise to noone. Most of us just thought we'd be in a better place when it happened. Personally, I wouldn't sign him to a mega deal. He's talented and has very good stuff, but his stuff isn't good enough to pitch through a lot of adversity. -
Hahn has to be gone after that botched rundown

Isn't there a more productive way for you to get attention? -
Every one of those guys was on the DL on a ton. Wtf are you talking about?

Moncada actually dealing with a back issue.

The WBC is far more entertaining than anything MLB offers. I don't blame the players for playing. -
