Absolutely. That kind of goes without saying. -
Eno Sarris Biggest Remaining MLB Needs And How To Fill Them - CWS

Personally, I'd pick up some innings eaters. Nobody on the market is an impact player. They really need to hope Gio maintains, Cease and Lopez take big steps forward and 1 or 2 of Dunning, Lambert or Hansen rebounds from the injuries. Although maybe Hansen is just a lost cause at this point. -

All these options seem like spending money for the sake of it, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. -
Back in my youth I traveled around the Midwest to play Street Fighter competitively. Gala West in Naperville was absolutely epic on Friday and Saturday nights. At 11, there were few things more satisfying than kicking the shit out of adults at a game. Best character: Guile. Favorite character: Dhalsim I transitioned over to Mortal Kombat, but was never quite at the same level in that game. Then I discovered weed, booze and girls and my priorities changed

It's not who the thread's about, it's the length of the deal. Good lord, you're having a bad trolling day. -

Totally relevant in a thread about Avi Garcia signing a 2 year deal. Totally. -

He never gave a timeline for Mazara. He gave an example of a player that developed at 26. -

They both have 2 years of control. Do you need help moving the goal posts? -

FWIW, Steamer has Garcia at 1.2 WAR next year and Mazara at 1.4 WAR. -

Yeah, it's really common for 28 year old's to develop their game. It's probably as common as 24 year old's. -

Of course age matters... Unless you think it's impossible for 24 year old's to continue to develop. There's a big handedness issue that you're going to conveniently ignore as well. -

Obviously he's a plus athlete, but he has some real issues with his swing that probably aren't fixable. -
I'm starting to be embarrassed to be a Sox fan.

Leury is so much more valuable than Engel that it's almost not even worth discussing.

Did Bumgarner sign?

People have already declared the rebuild a failure in December of 19. I promise you all, Sox fans weren't always this dumb.
-
I think this is also why they loved Cease so much. He has crazy balance and separation between his upper and lower half.

Dane Dunning and Jimmy Lambert

I would think Boston wants him for the reasons you listed. Nobody wants him for the way he catches.

Sox acquire Nomar Mazara for Steele Walker
TaylorStSox replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I think Ryu is most likely the only impact starter left. The others are just guys to bridge the gap of development among our other starters. That's why I'm not really concerned. The main 4 starters will be the difference makers. We need an innings eater and some leadership. -

Back to Mazara: I seriously think he can be a breakout player. He oozes talent and has some bright tools. I also think the Sox family environment, especially among the Latin American players, will be very beneficial for him. Those guys all really pull for each other. -

I value their loyalty too. I also like rooting for the underdog, which the Sox will always be. I also don't buy that the Sox don't want to win. I don't they're losing on purpose. If Hahn fails, I'm not going to be mad at him. Such is life, man. Personally, I think he's done a very good job in the rebuild thus far. I think it will stay showing up on the box score this year. One of the reasons I never wanted Machado is the red flags. One of those flags is that he's an asshole. I'd rather not root for assholes. -

You don't. You're a clown. I'm telling Ray not to let clowns like you ruin his time.
