  1. My bad, I thought we were talking about complete players. Nevermind.
  2. Some of are just grounded in reality. Did the Astros have so many pitchers go down? I honestly don't know if they had their number projected 1 and 2 go down. I don't know if they had their projected closer go down. I don't know if they had their MiLB pitcher of the year go down.
  3. Who's tanking? Not signing Nick Castellanos and Dallas Keuchel doesn't mean they're tanking.
  4. Steamer predictions: Castellanos: 1.5 WAR Mazara: 1.4 WAR
  5. You're listening to GM speak? Haha. I'm sure he'd love to sign every free agent. Unfortunately, he has to live in reality.
  6. I think they're realistic. I don't think they're particularly good investments though.
  7. I even forgot about Rodon. So the 2 guys we expected to be our number 1 and 2 starting pitchers both went down with TJS and you guys didn't expect the window to get pushed back?
  8. Are you trying to tell me all rebuilds aren't linear? So we're not the Astros? Awww, I'm so sad.
  9. Newsflash: The Chicago White Sox have been around for 119 years. They have never, and will never, be a marquee franchise. You might want to reconsider your expectations.
  10. They did offer the most money to Wheeler and none of the other realistic FA's have signed yet. They were never getting Strasburg or Cole and both of us know this. I can't even imagine how much they'd have had to offer each one to have a realistic shot. It sure as hell would have been a lot more than what the Nats and Yankees offered.
  11. I would have also assumed that everyone accepted that the window got pushed back a year when Kopech, Dunning, Lambert, Hansen and Burdi all suffered serious injuries.
  12. Despite offering Wheeler more money than anyone else on the market. Unfortunately, some players simply don't want to play for the second team in the second city. That's just reality. Either accept that, or keep b****ing. Your choice. Personally, I'd rather live with what is than cry about what should be.
  13. The guy we're talking about is a 24 year old who cost us Steele Walker, makes half as much, is left handed and isn't nearly as bad defensively. Steamer predicts Castellanos puts up 1.5 WAR next year. They have Mazara at 1.4 WAR.
  14. Well, Castellanos had a couple good months with the Cubs, so he has to be an impact player despite being slightly above average his entire career and being one of the worst defenders you'll ever see. Sign him for above market value, you cheap bastards!!!
  15. I see @Jack Parkmanstarted another b**** fest last night. How long until he says he's quitting and comes back in 2 hours? We should have a pool that pays out monthly.
  16. You guys are slipping. You know what this thread needs? Michael Kopech with no shirt. Ignore that woman.
  17. Never. I've seen The Southland Tales thousands of times though.
  18. For the record, I don't even know who Rabbit is.
  19. Does he have a lot of upside? He's not a great athlete and just does everything pretty well. He looks way more like a high floor player at this point.
  20. I'd like him a hell of a lot more if he was a 30 HR guy. Right now, he's a guy that's pretty good at everything, but has no glaring tools.
  21. It would be hilarious if the Sox ended up with Sale, Moncada and Kopech and they all tore it up though.
  22. I still like Collins a lot. He's the kind of guy the Red Sox really like though. He'd hit a ton of homers in that park.
  23. Like I said in the other thread, Collins would be involved.
