  1. Boston would have to send him here, pay half his contract and also send us extra jerseys. Sale is toast.
  2. Next year is still a bit of a developmental year. I'd try to get Collins as many AB's as possible. I believe he's always started slow on every level, then rebounded.
  3. You didn't even mention the SS who's in the lead for the batting title.
  4. Lopez's stuff is still good enough to keep throwing him out there as a 5th day. When he's on, he's pretty devastating. He just can't find consistency.
  5. I just want them to continue to improve. Next year will tell us a lot.
  6. People on Twitter hate everything. Twitter is for meat heads, rappers and soccer moms.
  7. Pretty much every time I talk baseball with a baseball fan, they almost universally say, "the Sox are going to be really good pretty soon." Pretty much every time I come on this board, it's total doom and gloom. I'm not sure it's "Sox fans" that are this way. I think it's the board that's this way.
  8. A very Caufield post. We have some insane assumptions and an extremely obscure reference hardly anyone will care about or understand. Credit due, at least it's a relatively short post.
  9. Hey everyone, I didn't realize Adrian Beltre had such a good career! Mock me! Hey Moan4Yoan, everyone hates you.
  10. Don Cooper thinks Nellie Fox could make a major league roster.
  11. He sounds like any other old guy who hates social media. I don't see what the big deal is.
  12. Jesus christ. I'm out of this one. You're gonna get torn to shreds.
  13. I hope so too, but this team probably peaks in 21 and 22. There's bit of time.
  14. Yet, the Astros are starting Reddick, Marsinick and Brantley, who are good hitters, but not exactly world beaters. The Rays start several players with sub .800 OPS' and have still managed to win 90 games. As usual, you're grossly overstating your position.
  15. They should always be looking to improve, but when you have a generational talent like Robert in CF, you can still win with a relatively light hitting RF.
  16. We have a good shot at having plus hitters at 3rd, SS, 2nd, 1st, LF and CF. We don't need all stars at every position to win. RF is a hole, but not an insurmountable hole. I don't think this team will struggle to score runs in this environment.
  17. Hell yeah Altuve is juicing. Jesus man. It's obvious. It's not even a question. Athletes throughout history have been willing to risk it all for a chance to be the best. Don't be ridiculously naive. The danger is one of the biggest draws.
  18. The reward definitely outweighs the risk when you're 5'6 like Altuve or 39 like Cruz. We're talking a $100m or more risk here. Of course it's worth it for some. I also wouldn't use regular people logic when we're talking about athletes.
  19. Also, cycling (not the biking kind) is way more sophisticated than its ever been. The guys that get caught are the ones that get lazy or get bad advice.
  20. They can alter their hormone balance to mask the tests. If Olympic weight lifters can continue to beat the tests, you better believe far richer athletes are beating them too. Come on. With Sarms available over the counter right now, it's easier than ever. Everyone who thinks these guys are clean should watch Icarus and pay attention to cycling/Olympic weight lifting.
  21. It's both. All these guys are still juiced. The tests will always be one step behind the drugs.
  22. One good thing to come of this year is that he had so much raw power. I knew the power was there, but I was expecting more of a gap hitter that also hit HR's.
