  1. Don't the Sox always get really creative with this stuff? Last year it was for Wolkow, right? I'd wait until it's over before making any judgements. It seems like development has always been a bigger issue than drafting.
  2. Crochet has been starting for 3 months and is still a massive injury concern. The Sox hit lightning in a bottle here and need to jump on the opportunity to trade him.
  3. Montgomery is still universally considered a top 25 prospect as he's held his own as among the youngest players in AAA.
  4. You left out Anderson, Rodon, Crochet, Schultz and Montgomery. ?
  5. You're calling BS that there's a correlation between high draft picks and a good farm? Good luck with that. The Sox top hitting prospect was the 22nd pick and among the youngest players in his league. Obviously the Sox are really lacking in development, but the Orioles have truly sucked in that regard for 45 years too. In the current Orioles situation, they were better at sucking.
  6. It helps when you draft 1,2,5,1 in consecutive years. It's been 47 years since the Sox had the 1st pick.
  7. I'll take the credit for motivating Robert today. You're all welcome.
  8. When the call outs are as bad as Caufield's, it's not gonna hurt my feelings. I mean, Lance Lynn?
  9. I don't give a s%*#. Just calling out hypocrisy. I'm not one of these suburbanite goofs that's going to cry about it.
  10. These are just a list of terrible examples. Lance Lynn sucks and even in Cease's one not so great season, he was still very good for us.
  11. It's kind of odd that most of the posters here spend all day shitting on everything White Sox related, from players to coaches to people in the front office to people in administrative roles to vendors. I'm critical of one player and I'm the pariah.
  12. I never said Everett was misunderstood. Obviously he was always an asshole. He did hold his teammates accountable though. Carlton Fisk, massive asshole who held people accountable. AJ, even bigger asshole who held people accountable. You can insert all kinds of people in that role.
  13. Cease was great with the Sox. Lopez had turned it around with the Sox before the trade and was never as bad as Sox fans thought. Lynn still sucks and the others are middle relievers whose results are always volatile. Not a great post from you.
  14. A lack of effort was never Anderson's problem and couldn't give a s%*# about Anderson's personal life. I had no problem with Robert up until this year. He always trained like an idiot, much like Kopech and Moncada, but that didn't really bother me. My problem with him this year is the lack of effort, not carrying himself like pro despite being a veteran and moping in the dugout. I think fans are setting themselves up for disappointment if they think he's going to bring a monumental return. He's hurt all the time, his production hasn't always matched the hype and he displayed character issues.
  15. If Robert "steps it up" for a better team, that just illustrates his lack of character and professionalism. Imagine being part of the top .0001% of earners while working 6 hours a day and openly moping.
  16. The Sox are at fault for Robert's lack of development, but Robert is at fault for his lack of professionalism.
  17. One of the best offensive CF's is a pretty bad metric when you're a notably bad CF. In reality, Robert is an immensely talented player who doesn't play a lot, strikes out a ton, should be playing RF, actively mopes and alienates himself from his teammates by sitting in the corner of the dugout and pouting. He's a an oft injured baby.
  18. Was Everett a homophobe or was he calling out his teammates for being homophobes?
  19. That's the thing, his production has never matched the hype. Even his one excellent season is full of red flags. His k:bb ratio is alarming and his defense is declining rapidly. I would guess it's an effort issue, but that might be even more alarming.
  20. Luis Robert is probably known by no more than 5% of the population. He's about as far from a star as a good pro athlete can be.
  21. Thanks for speaking for him. I'm sure he appreciates it.
  22. These are all crimes committed after he retired. I'm not sure how that's relevant to his baseball career and holding his teammates accountable. Super weird gotcha. Including moon landing conspiracies with spousal abuse is even weirder. Homophobia amongst the sports community is still so rampant I'm not even sure why you would bring it up. Overall, a post that's equally weird as it is irrelevant. If we want to go super meathead, we could just insert AJ for Everett and my point would stand. Nobody has ever held Robert accountable for his bullshit.
