QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 04:29 PM) Well it was 2nd and 3rd, nobody out, and now that Dye struck out, there's 1 out. I'm going to say that we aren't going to score this inning. Any takers? Who is on 2nd and 3rd and how did they get there? I was fixin' up the ol' hot tub. I'll say we get one run in, only b/c Fields is up next. Paulie grounder to CF, then AJ double; dye strike out

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 04:29 PM) I think a fire sale might actually make this team better this year. Scary, but definitely a possibility...

This season will hit rock bottom if we lose the series (or get swept by) to the Cubs. I didn't care in '06 about the Cubs series, nor did I in May (when I thought we'd be a good club), but now this series seems like the last glimmer of any type of hope. I think if we lose the series, heads will finally roll... (Although this series, Pitt and Philly were all pretty damn sad too)

QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 04:18 PM) way to go jenks UN-F'ING'-REAL!!! WTF Wow, Wow...WOW

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 04:02 PM) Ground ball to Uribe, he throws the ball away, it bounces off the stands and roles next to the dugout. Hanley Ramirez runs through first then takes a few steps toward second before pulling up and walking back to the first base bag. Konerko noticed that Ramirez rounded off his run through first and tagged Ramirez out since he committed to 2B. Ah, nice. Thanks

Jon is at 105 after 7. Hell, I say we bring him out in the 8th. Don't bother warming anyone but Jenks and Logan. If Jon needs to come out and there is a lefty up, go to Logan (in 8th). If Jon needs to come out and it's a righty...Jenks' game all the way. Screw the rest

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 03:52 PM) Great heads up play by Pauly right there. Kalapse, what happened per se?
-
QUOTE(SoxnGiants @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) 91 according to Gameday. Probably his last inning coming up. Ugh...Noooo! Note to Jon: Please find a way to get through 8. Note to Ozzie: If he doesn't, use Jenks for a 2 inning (or 1 2/3, 1 1/3) save...we're off tomorrow!

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 03:06 PM) Yep, I'm sure Ichiro is just jumping at the chance to play for a team that was under .500 in 2007 and looking to go young at many positions in 2008. Give up the Ichiro dream, it's not going to happen. Aaron Rowand will be our starting CF in 2008, I guarantee it. I'm not sure about Rowand, but I def agree with you on the Ichiro thing. Reason I say what I do about ARow is b/c I think he'll price himself out of what we'd be willing to pay. Wouldn't you say right now he's in the 4/32 range?

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 20, 2007 -> 02:39 PM) No kidding...between this lineup and our bullpen, we're one of the worst teams in all of baseball. I honestly believe that Friday will be Buehrle's last start with the Sox. Really? I mean I'm not disagreeing, but I think KW might want to wait until July to drive up the value and wait as long as possible before pissing off the fans. That's just me though
-
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 09:43 PM) That's absurd. Ozzie's protecting his arm today. Aside, he's been pretty good about letting him stay in the game while not overtaxing his young arm. If Danks were more effecient, he'd pitch longer. Not that I'm knocking Danks. I'm not. He's learning in the majors what he should've learned in the minors, but he was too good for that, so here we are. I'm defending Ozzie from your blasphemy. he got it backwards too, it should be "Ozzie Guillen is to Jerry Manuel as John Danks is to John Garland"

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 19, 2007 -> 06:41 PM) BTW, it will be on again in about 3 min. on ESPNEWS Good tip! I'm having my roommate DVR it b/c I'm at school. Thanks

At this point, nothing would really surprise me, so I wouldn't rule out continued poor play, but I am in agreement that I think we may just see some good White Sox baseball in the few weeks ahead. The team knows that if they don't get it going immediately, they are cooked. Maybe that's what it takes to get these guys going, I don't know. That said, I'm not ready to concede. Let's get hot and see where we stand come Mid-July.

QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jun 17, 2007 -> 04:26 PM) As much as I don't want us to win b/c I don't want KW thinking we have a shot to make the playoffs and keeping all our old guys, I couldn't help but root for us to pull that one out. I guess when it comes down to it, I just don't like losing. I know what you mean, man. I was hoping for it too. It's sad though that it's not a surprise to have a HR robbed and to have Iguchi look pathetic up there.

wow, just wow So is it officially time to give up now??

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Jun 12, 2007 -> 07:32 PM) A walk.. figures. 2-1 Phils I am not watching the game b/c I am at the law library, but when I saw the bases get loaded and him get down 2-0, I knew he'd walk in a run. It's pathetic when you come to expect that sort of thing... -
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 11:17 PM) At least get A.J. on for Paulie. Who knows after that. Yes...get Paulie up!

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 5, 2007 -> 11:14 PM) Why, righties hit Rivera better historically. Precisely...his cutter moves in on Lefties...
