  1. Not only that but they wasted a throwaway year and still didn't find out much about Colas, Sosa and a couple other guys. It's largely been an utter waste of a season and a disasterous start to any sort of "Getz era". Not only are you fielding what is likely the worst modern team of all time, you did so by signing a bunch of vets that at best will get you a couple lotto tickets, assuming Getz's slow ass manages to find some takers for them. It's a D- effort, at best.
  2. chris getz sucks at musical chairs.
  3. Not even Getz could f*** this one up, could he? An obvious "pump and dump" signing in the offseason, one of the only ones that worked, and now you just gotta dump him after a very successful pump. Don't blow it.
  4. Yea, I was excited for about three innings after the ASB, haven't watched much since, a few innings here and there like last night but it's such an awful product there's no reason to make it must watch TV, or even remember when the games start really.
  5. Yea I've changed my mind. Fire him now. If nothing else it might show some of the players a hint of accountability. On those same lines I'd outright DFA Sheets and let Colas come up and get all the RF and some DH AB.
  6. He was great for like one season and solid for a couple more for us. He's not a Sox legend in any sort of way so meh for me.
  7. 50% chance it's a smoke screen imo, for whatever ends, for whatever team.
  8. I figured as much but wasn't sure. Well, it makes sense then.
  9. I can't keep track of these guys. I'm a man, I'm 40. I got other s%*# floating around in my coconut that 25 year old chitown did not.
  10. No it doesn't. He's a pitcher. He's worth 150 million right now. He could be worth 25 million if he blows out his shoulder in the next two seasons, at best. Is James a poster here? I've got a bone to pick with him here, it doesn't make any sense. In fact, the very reason he wants to get extended in October is because it makes sense to cash in now, when his value is sky high and he's as healthy as he'll ever be going forward.
  11. I wonder if Crochet likes it in Chicago. He does have some reasons imo. But of course there's the losing.
  12. It's smart AF. He knows whatever club gets him will want to use him like a rented mule in October. That's how guys fray their shoulders and elbows, going max out at the end of the year. He might not even know he got hurt until he picked up a ball in the offseason and didn't feel right.
  13. Well that settles that. Trade him in the offseason. Of course I'd prefer to try and get a deal done, but we know that won't happen.
  14. he had a nice play earlier in the gap, amazingly. almost over ran it he got such a good jump.
  15. such a great cover, i saw them play it live with like 50 people in a packed nola venue in midtown about 6 years ago, forget the name of the spot. they only played like 10 tracks but it was so intense. the tuba player was going off.
  16. jon and beckham have to have the lowest word per out ratio of anybody in the league. just a s%*# awful broadcast on top of it all.
  17. look at his clown ass stance, at a certain point a coach has to get him to try something else. He can't cover anything other than middle in and his bat is so slow he often gets jammed anyways. A guy like eloy should be deep in the box with a toe tap imo.
