  1. Eloy hit the ball in the air challenge...
  2. no but i did think grossman had a better stretch than his splits indicate, guess he's just really been decent not at any point better than like a 750 ops over a few weeks. still, better than when he was with us.
  3. cash considerations and a single baseball.
  4. You're right Jon, this game is shaping up like a familiar sight, another fucking loss.
  5. Our old buddy Grossman, who has cooled tremendously himself.
  6. And Crawford. And Dipoto already had a very White Sox like presser where he said to temper expectations. Oh well, there's plenty of other clubs the Sox can make deals with. It's hilarious seeing this team collapse and I got some money on it so even better.
  7. Swept at home by the Angels. 9-20 in their last 29. Haven't won a series in over a month. This team is so fucking White Sox man. It's uncanny. They are the same fucking thing, just at various different places in said thing at any given time.
  8. Drafting is the least of our problems. It's pretty much the only thing we've done halfway decent over the last decade. It's pretty much everything else we're trash tier at. It's not like we're an elite drafting team, few are consistently, but if we did everything as competently as the draft we'd be a much easier franchise to follow.
  9. So much for player development under a new GM. Same as it ever was.
  10. FIP doesn't seem that relevant in the new run environment of MLB. I am cautious on him as well because he really doesn't have a lot of room for error with his fastball sitting where it sits but in general it's not because his ERA is lower than his FIP by "too much".
  11. oh yea, so does mine, too many fours. will correct.
  12. I really hope so. They've given that fucking guy about 500 more PA than needed to figure out he sucks and can't play RF.
  13. if only we didn't have fucking JR. I'd be so down for that. As I've said I've felt a 5 year 150 million dollar extension would be perfect for Crochet and I bet he'd sign that. You could make it something like 120 million guaranteed with the last 30 million coming with innings and performance incentives. He'd get guaranteed generational wealth and the Sox would have one of the best 5 pitchers in MLB locked up in his prime with TJS already out of the way.
  14. NFL camps in full swing, 39 days I think away from CFB. Crazy. Summer is flying by except when watching the Sox, although their are groundhog like qualities.
  15. It doesn't even feel like April was part of this season. Man it's only 2/3 over too.
  16. Thought for sure they announced he had "successful" surgery and would be out 12-15 weeks. Could be wrong, I have not been following this team closely to say the least.
  17. Not surprising a guy with a surgical repair is experiencing soreness. I'd be more concerned how his back responds as he ramps up.
  18. Headliner should be like a top 75 guy and then get a couple more lotto tickets. You might have to package him with like Pham or something to get that done but no big deal as that's the entire reason you signed Pham.
  19. He's also pitched 3/4 of his innings or so at almost zero stress. He hasn't had any set backs, hasn't even really had a "dead arm" period. I'd be worried about him if he was going to be pitching over 180 innings into the playoffs and putting max effort into pitches in October, but he ain't.
