  1. He has serious health issues. non starter. @bmags it might change if the big guns get traded but tragically the way the Sox have played under Pedro for about a month and a half now is regular old putrid and not historically putrid. Fangraphs actually thinks we're still going to win 54 games. I don't really GAF if they fire pedro or not I just once again dont see any obvious utility in thrusting in some White Sox coach (you know they aren't going to bring in anybody else in season) who is even more in over his head than Pedro for the last 60 games or so.
  2. NSIS but I'd say the devil you know is better than the one you don't for 2024 remainder. I have no faith the Sox would promote the right guy if Griffol is canned and with all the guys likely headed out soon having a managerial change added on top might just put us back into historical futility. Just do a real search in the off-season and let Pedro see this one out.
  3. Draft in mid July, deadline in early august, the Open last major of the year, I'm too old for this s%*#.
  4. Is it just me or are there very few actual rumors floating around? Maybe with so many teams confused about what they need to do you're going to see a flurry in the last few days but little before.
  5. I don't really see any net benefit in changing horses at this point. Just let him finish out the year and s%*# can him on some Friday night in October.
  6. Really? At MLB level? That's pretty rare. Hope so.
  7. can you calm down a little bit on my posts? thanks.
  8. Seems like it's time to give him a shot. He won't be able to sustain that BABIP but if he can keep it around 320 in MLB maybe he sticks as an average regular.
  9. Hold our beer -- the White Sox org.
  10. Why the f*** would you option Sosa to AAA, dude has one of the highest BA on the team I don't care how bad his defense is.
  11. I'm kinda hoping a potential Scubal trade goes first just so we can judge the market and go from there.
  12. A long time ago, must have been 25 years at this point, went to a game with my dad at New Comiskey, back when it was still fairly new and novel. We were excited and the first interaction was with a dipshit parking attendant that was super aggressively trying to scare us into parking in his lot and blah blah blah. We went and parked in some private lot for less and the car was just fine.
  13. I can smell it through the screen. It's somewhere on the Ohio turnpike.
  14. Jason is like a chain restaurant known for being fairly decent even on their worst day. Maybe something like a Jersey Mike's. But personally I'm not a big chain guy, decent enough or not. I'm glad he went to Detroit but sadly we replaced him not with a nice local place, but with a Subway.
  15. Give them Moldy and Pham for a bucket of balls and a KC BBQ signature smoker.
  16. Thanks for stealing my thunder bro. This aggression will not stand, man.
  17. The White Sox are the best place for a vet to break out!?!?
  18. Was a bit shocked how poorly they are playing, then remembered Betts is out and so is Yamamoto. They are desperate, we could pawn Fedde off on them for a nice return I'd bet.
  19. Can draftees now be traded immediately or is there still a one year pause?
  20. So you're basing your opinion on a guy that is a well known sounding board for GMs in exchange for access? Come on. Think critically. These are simply feelers to try and drive down Robert's value. Robert is a star. The 100 games thing is a canard as he played almost every game in the covid season, almost hit 100 the next, then played 145 last year and should hit 100 again this year. He's been hurt closer to 20% of the time than 40% and any team trading for him has to think they can do a better job than the Sox preventing soft tissue injuries.
  21. I like the picks. We've done well developing TOR lefties so might as well stick with it. High school kids with the next picks seems smart as well. We're going nowhere fast. Maybe in 2028 they will have emerged and help us up at the big league level.
  22. It would take three Spencer Jones level prospects to even think about getting a deal done with the Yankees. Yanks doesn't have the farm to get this deal done. edited to as not to disrespect the Metropolitans.
