He's a competent starting big leaguer. That's cause for excitement around here but I don't think anybody is really too happy he's one of our best players.
Big dick Mendick already at .4 fWAR. Maybe we can flip him for something. I think he's going to have a decent season. He understands modern hitting. Him and De Bong understand that you go up there looking to do damage in any count, at all times.
It's strange how he's already doing the "Sox against everybody" thing when he's been on the job for about a month and has no real ties to the Sox being born in NYC. I guess tho that attitude is basically the only requirement for the job. It's certainly not baseball knowledge.
Can someone confirm that if he didn't except the assignment he would have forfeited his contract? Reporting on that is unclear. I'm just curious either way.
So many small moves add up to big mistakes with this org. I think the Tatis Jr trade was the baseball gods smiting us for a decade of them. This season is probably the 2nd smiting. We'll have another in 2034.
Yea Pierre and Pods. Thing is, in their prime, those guys had actual other tools. It's like ok fine you can't throw but you can run and hit a bit. Meanwhile you have the zero tool player Beni.
