at worst something like grade 2 achilles or hamstring at best something like calf strain out 3-4. Didn't look great. Not horrific, but not good either.
There's like maybe 50 players in MLB that you give the green light (or any light other then dead red) in a tie game with a solid defensive catcher behind the plate.
We have one of those guys.
We play like we have a half dozen. It's been this way since Renteria. We're forcing things that are not there roster wise.
I'll take a victory lap on that one. He was clearly more than a throw in and has the potential to be a solid 1 WAR reliever, at least as much as any non elite closer does year to year. He has a good track record.
