  1. So, the Bulls eek out a win tonight by 1 against the surging sixers. Gordon had an awful game, the Bulls were terrible at the FT line, but they still pulled it out. Had a lineup of Duhon, Griff, TT, Deng, and I think Gordon on the floor to start the 4th down 10, and that lineup brought them back to within 2 in a couple minutes. Stat line may not show it, but TT and Griff were real big keys tonight, along with the shooting of Deng.
  2. He seemed from the radio to be throwing an awful lot of offspeed stuff instead of featuring the fastball like he ususally does. It's possible he was just working on something.

    "300"

QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 05:37 PM) Althought not a historic piece by any stretch of the imagination, 300 wasn't based on historic events? Link.
  4. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 04:45 PM) not the ones sent to minor league camp Then what were Rogowski and A. Gonzalez doing in the game today?
  5. Oh, and happy Pi day to all of you pie-starved zombies.
  6. Probably also worth noting that until last year, the last few years he hasn't looked all that great. 2004, AA, 1.39 WHIP, 4.02 ERA 2005, AA, 1.41 WHIP, 4.07 ERA 2005 AAA 1.94 WHIP, 8.31 ERA, 0-3. 2006: AAA, 1.23 WHIP, 2.96 ERA. Last year was his best year in the minors so far, by quite a bit...a lot better than the years before it, and he's going to be 25 on March 24th.
  7. QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 04:25 PM) did nunez used to pitch for the marlins? Yes. The White Sox originally signed him to a minor league deal just over a year ago. Recorded 20 saves, put up a 3.41 ERA for the fish in 02. Hasn't pitched in the big leagues since 04, put up ERA's of 16 and 7 in 03 and 04 in about 20 games each year.
  8. QUOTE(BearSox @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 04:08 PM) bold = players that have MLB potential to actually make an impact. I would bold Carlos Vasquez for now at least until we see what we can get out of him.
  9. The other Anderson grounds out to first. Ballgame. 11-8 Sox win. Yay.
  10. First batter pops out to Uribe. That P guy is up again.
  11. A. Gonzalez goes full, strikes out. Wiki up. Wiki quickly grounds out. Doesn't seem like the best day to be a Gonzalez for the Sox.
  12. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 04:10 PM) I didn't get a chance to watch any of the game, so apologies if this is repetitious, but how did Garland look after the rough 1st? Velocity still down some...had some baserunners, but was getting some ground balls also.
  13. Gio gets ahead of Gwynn 1-2, goes full, Gwynn k's looking. 2 down. Pitching change. #98 comes in. Farmer doesn't even know who that is. Vladimir Nunez.
  14. Vinny Rotino makes some Pasta out of a ball. Run scoring Single, 11-8, 1st and 3rd
  15. Gio gets Braun 0-2, then goes full, Braun then doubles in a run. 2nd and 3rd, 1 out. 11-7. The Witch Doctor comes out to talk to Gio.
  16. QUOTE(Beltin @ Mar 14, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) I have mainly been observing but as a fan for the better part of 25 years, now, I think it is my duty as a fan to engage in debate and criticize the team much as it is our duty as Americans to question our government. If I don't do either, I am neither a true fan and this is not really a democracy. You terrorist loving America hater!
  17. Drew Anderson takes a walk. 2 on, nobody out. Escobar lines a 1st pitch base hit to Left. Bases loaded. Ground ball by someone to 3rd. Force/Fielder's choice, 5-4, run scores, 1st and 3rd, 1 out.
  18. Leadoff double by some guy who's name starts with a P.
  19. Rogo flies out to right. Cintron stays at 2nd. Sweet Swingin Ryan Sweeney up. Sweeney K's looking.
  20. Cintron doubles to the wall in right center.
  21. Tony Gwynn grounds out to Valido. Runner scores. Cole Gillespie on to hit for the Brew Crew. Gio Walks Gillespie. J.D. Glausser up. Fly out to Anderson. Inning over. Owens grounds out to the pitcher.
