  1. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 11:40 PM) He adds a lot to the broadcast and has a very good personality. I dont' think Blackjack would do full time broadcasting, but if he did and when we eventually replaced Hawk, I'd try to bring BJ in for a set number of games during hawks final season and put him with DJ and hawk in a 3 man booth to allow him to gel and than eventually turn things to DJ and Black Jack. Dude, find some new initials to use with that one.

    Weird Quirks

I fidgit all the time with the hair behind my ears. I have no idea why. When my hands aren't typing, that's what they'll be doing.
  3. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 11:07 PM) Ive never been that in love with Bush and did not understand why the Texans would want him when they have Davis and Morency. I think New Orleans is going to trade down to the highest bidder. With Brees and Deuce, it would be smarter if they did not select a Bush or Leinart, but instead got D'Brick. The only question they would have is how far could they move down? NO probably could feel safe trading with the Jets and knowing that Bush and Leinart or Young are going to be the next 2 picks. I doubt Tenn drafts Ferguson, the only problem could be Tenn deciding to trade down if they are happy with either Young or Leinart. No gm will sleep tonight. Well, it's not like Deuce had the most dominant season in history last season either. 5 games, 335 total yards. His 2004 campaign wasn't his best either, went from 1600 yards down to 1000. So New Orleans could use it. And if nothing else, if there's a team in the league that needs to generate a big buzz and sell tickets more than anyone else, I can't think of one that beats New Orleans. Hell, Reggie Bush could basically be given the job next fall of giving that franchise a reason to stay in NOLA.
  4. He started doing it in the third inning, IIRC. Cooper asked him about it from the dugout, & Freddy just basically yelled back he was gonna run with that. He had a lot better control going that way, so it seemed to work.
  5. That was more nerve wracking than a 4 run win should be. Great game Jermaine. Great game Paulie. Good work Bobby, Neal, Freddy from the Stretch.
  6. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:00 PM) I know this is about the Texans and Williams but I'd love to see Tennessee draft Young over Leinart, but with Norm Chow at Tennessee now I'd be surprised if they drafted Young. That's really been the rumor over the last few days, a lot of people have Leinart falling. But with this mess, who the Hell knows.
  7. QUOTE(Whitewashed in '05 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:08 PM) he's still playing? He's trying to teach the young Dodger catchers how to be catchers. Navarro & Russel Martin eventually.
  8. QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:06 PM) I like the move; if Cotts is hot, leave him in. Looks like he's tiring a bit to me.
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:05 PM) I was stunned at how poor their entire team's bat speed looked vs the Cubs. It's not just their bats.
  10. QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) Wow, Oz has a hunch? Leavin Cotts in? He wants the lefty in to face Figgins. Makes some sense to me, turn himi around.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) What's been wrong with them? All I saw was when they played the Cubs. Furcal looked like he ate a little kid. Thome and Konerko could steal bases against Dioner Navarro, and they just haven't seemed smart on the basepaths either. Furcal's off to another slow start, and Lofton and Furcal are their speed.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:01 PM) We have got to be the worst base running team in baseball. I've never seen a team make it look so hard to steal a base, while making it seem so hard to throw someone out. You really need to watch a few Dodgers' games.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 10:00 PM) Looks much better than he did. He's showing a better eye, and taking more confident swings. He's getting close, he's just not there yet. He's drawing some walks, but the balls just aren't falling for himi yet.
  14. Uribe walks on a low pitch, just barely low. 2nd walk of the game by Yan.
  15. QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 28, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) Thanks for the summaries Now the question is ... do ya leave Cotts in? If Thornton was available I'd consider using him just for 1 or 2 batters so that I have the lefty pitching to Figgins and have Jenks ready to face Cabrera if someone gets on.
