  1. And here's the man we've been waiting for for 6 hours...
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 10:23 PM) Gracias. I love Sweeney, but we have to excersize that option for that cheap. Like I've said...even if Sweeney turns out to be dynamite...that cheap option on Dye makes him a good trading option. (Dye + Garcia for, oh, I dunno, who does Arizona have left?)
  3. Whoever asked...we have an option on Dye for like $6 million next season.
  4. You know what started all this? Those immigration protests where people got all pissy about folks flying Mexican flags. People started flying U.S. flags in response, because ya know, it's offensive to fly another flag inside this country (and man do I hate U2 concerts.) By the way, those who didn't see...it's not just U.S. flags, it's Mexican flags that are also banned. In other words, don't bring in a flag and taunt people.
  5. 431 feet. Longer than any shot hit by any Sox player last year.
  6. Every time McCarthy hits the mound, the rain lets up. When Cleveland hits the mound, suddenly it starts raining again. Maybe Bossard knows that field better than I thought...
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) If they aren't stopping it now, they aren't going to stop it until curfew. Someone has to be telling them that the rain's about to stop. Otherwise they wouldn't still be out there now that the game is official.
  8. Come on Umps, the infield is a f***ing lake...I mean Bossard is good, but these guys are out of their minds.
  9. You know, this is the kind of game that maybe gets us in their heads just a little bit...every single damn thing has gone wrong for Cleveland...Sabathia, the rain, Dye's hits, Blake overrunning the thing, the rain letting up just a little for McCarthy, Cabrera not able to throw strikes in the rain, Thome killing them...Something goes wrong early Tuesday...and Cleveland might start sayin "Here we go again" (like we do when we're in Oakland)
  10. Blake gives us a gift. Man, Cleveland can not be happy about this game. Losing Sabathia, having to have Cabrera pitch in the rain, yeesh.
  11. I tell you what...if we didn't have Roger Bossard running this field...the umps would be calling this thing. Damn field drains too well.
  12. Man is it ever coming down now...Cabrera's gotta be pissed at having to thorw in this. This can't go on much longer.
  13. Woo-hoo! Official game! I love how Anderson checked over his shoulder to make sure that "Yeah, that was the 3rd out" before he threw the ball into the crowd.
  14. LOL ESPN going through the lineups again.
  15. Well, we now have less to worry about with Anderson. He caught the ball.
  16. Now tonight...this is what we call thunder!!!
  17. Woo-hoo! Baseball and baserunners due to walks! Woo-hoo!
  18. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 06:30 PM) Taken to the hospital with some kind of allergic reaction on his face Spider bites?
  19. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Apr 2, 2006 -> 06:27 PM) So has there been any word on Jose? I.e. why he wasn't introduced or something else?
  20. Well, the good news is that if this rain ever does end...we're already facing Cleveland's bullpen, so if this does become an official game...we won't be ending it with only 3 runs.
