  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:20 AM) One thing I want to ask is this. If one of Thomas/Konerko walks, can we please not make them look bad. Im so sick of when every big name FA leaves, the Sox some how make him out to look like the bad guy. Jesus himself could not make Frank Thomas look bad if he didn't come back next year. After yesterday...Jesus is about the only guy who could say anything to make Konerko look bad in that city if he did leave.
  2. Roy Oswalt has won 20 games the last 2 seasons. It's not that hard to do that when your team is scoring 1000 runs a year like Boston. But the Astros are a team winning with Pitching, and Oswalt has been their best. Jon...you've given me the idea this year that you seem to like a challenge. Roy Oswalt is the biggest challenge you will face this season. Shred those bastards.
  3. I'd love to change mine...but I ain't changin' in until we win 2 more games.
  4. QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) Pauly said scott calls it almost everytime. If scott were right everytime he'd have 100 by now. Scott Podsednik is as accurate as carpet bombing
  5. Mark, when this game is over, I want you to take a 100 foot slide along the tarp at the Cell. I want you to start at 1st and shoot for 3rd. And I want Fox to be pissed off about how short the game was, to the point that they have to show your slide and bracket it with commercials.

    Hey

That's as much for Crede as it is for the writer of this post.
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 12:14 AM) I'm just saying, the Astros futility on the offensive end is what helped cost them this game. We played pretty well no doubt, but we can do better, which is what I hope to see. But hey, if we're picking up the wins, who cares. There was a reason for the Astros futility on the offensive end. In fact there were 3 reasons. They were named Jose, Neal, and Bobby. And each one of them made the pitches they needed to at the proper times. Jose and Neal each made mistake pitches. But they each made the 4 or 5 most important pitches that they needed to turn this game into a win. This was not a game of the Astros screwing up. This was a game of the White Sox pitchers either striking guys out when they needed to (HI NEAL AND BOBBY) or forcing guys to hit the ball in the neighborhood of Joe "RALLY VACUUM" Crede.
  8. Beautiful. I was doing the "He gone"s on my own...very VERY loudly. Especially on Bagwell. Man I did like 9 of them for that pitch.
  9. Congrats, you nearby sonofab****. I had 2 tickets on Ticketmaster, if only I could have attended.
  10. Mark Focking Buehrle. 2 hour ballgame. That is your goal. Go get these sons of b****es. You are so much better than them. Destroy them.
  11. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 12:01 AM) Oh God. Gotta stay composed. I'm freakin' out inside after tonight's game. The anticipation of this week is killing me. I spent roughly 20 minutes doing nothing but pumping my fists.
  12. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 12:08 AM) This was really a game that we maybe didn't deserve to win so much. We were something like 2 for 8 with RISP, and Contreras didn't have his best stuff at all. But this team has battled all year long, and they're doing the small things a lot better now. We're working the counts a lot more, we're getting the bunts down, we're getting FANTASTIC defence from Joe Crede especially and Juan Uribe. We fully deserved to win this game. Joe Crede was focking awesome at 3rd. He could not miss a ball. When we can't catch the ball, we don't deserve to win. We did our jobs tonight. We earned that. We fought through everything. Go get em tomorrow MB. Game must end before I get home.
  13. Went to a party tonight. Turned the whole focking group into Chisox fans. At least for 1 night. Jermaine Dye! Juan Uribe! Scott Podsednik! And of course...JOE CREDE!!! WOW!!!! And equally as important! Jose "Quality Start" Contreras Neal "Hit this you b****" Cotts Bobby "You can't even focking see this" Jenks 3 more f***ing games out of 6. we have to play .500 ball the rest of the season. wow.
  14. Hey, if nothing else, they led off with us instead of the Astros.
  15. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) I think that our guys will go in tonight ready to face the man Roger Clemens, not hte myth of Roger Clemens. I think we will scratch out 3-4 against him and it will come down to what Jose can do. My prediction: 4-2 Sox. Jose goes the distance. Here's a question...how many innings will our bullpen pitch this series? We should run a poll on that one.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) Koney owns him...OWNNNNZZZZ him. I hope for more of the same tonight. He may have fewer at bats...but don't miss looking @ the Rally Crede's numbers against Clemens. He and Konerko have the same # of Home Runs.
  17. And since we're now so close...it's time for this one. (Thunder...x10) I was caught In the middle of a railroad track (Thunder) And I knew there was no turning back (Thunder) My mind raced And I thought what could I do (Thunder) And I knew There was no help, no help from you (Thunder) Sound of the drums Beatin' in my heart The thunder of guns Tore me apart You've been - thunderstruck Went down the highway Broke the limit, we hit the town Went through to Texas, yeah Texas And we had some fun We met some girls Some dancers who gave a good time Broke all the rules, played all the fools Yeah, yeah, they, they, they blew our minds I was shakin' at the knees Could I come again please? Yeah the ladies were too kind You've been - thunderstruck, thunderstruck Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck Oh, thunderstruck Yeah Now we're shaking at the knees Could I come again please? Thunderstruck, thunderstruck Yeah yeah yeah, thunderstruck Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah Said yeah, it's alright We're doing fine Yeah, it's alright We're doing fine So fine Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah, Tunderstruck, thunderstruck, thunderstruck Whoa baby, baby, thunderstruck You've been thunderstruck, thunderstruck Thunderstruck, thunderstruck You've been thunderstruck
  18. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 03:56 PM) So expect another half hour. It has been at least 28 minutes longer than what the official time says for every game this post-season. In earlier games, they've started the pregame coverage at like 5:00 for 5:28 starts out here. That gives them a 33 minute pregame, which sounds about right. Which means...we're 1 hour and 3 minutes away.
  19. According to ESPN.com's scoreboard...first pitch is scheduled for 8:03 EST...7:03 CST, 5:03 for me.
  20. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) I'm setting my DVD to record the game to watch tommorow (got to go to bed), what is the weather like, any fear of a rain delay? link

  22. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) Those are actaully fairly big names. Better than "The LoveHammers.." They still can't even hold a keyboard compared to Nancy .
  23. Josh Groban is on tap to do the National Anthem tonight. Liz Phair is on tap to sing "God Bless America" during the 7th inning stretch.
  24. (Thunder...) Come on...does anyone know the scheduled time of the first pitch?
  25. I thought the line was "Play some f***ING Journey!"
