  1. Look at the bright side...Now the Bears have a legitimate shot at Leinart.
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) The guy is a f***in stud, he's been one of the best pitchers in baseball all season. He had a bad game, unfortunately it happens. Here's viz...... Hate to say it, but since June, he's had too many bad games.
  3. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 06:28 PM) Odds of Crede popping up here???? Far too high.
  4. QUOTE(SouthsideNorthsideFan @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) but didn't they just love Big Mo Vaughn there? I tell you what, they liked him more in Boston than in New York.
  5. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:33 PM) You think Carl's heard the Griffey rumors as well? :rolly I think he's just batting RH, and he's shredded pitchers when he bats RH this year. He's hitting .315 against lefties, .237 against righties this year.
  6. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:31 PM) THough he does have a 3.64 ERA against them the past 3 years. Against the lineups the Red Sox have put out there lately, that's really really good.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:31 PM) I miss Timo as DH!
  8. HOT CARL GIVES US IT BACK!!! OVER THE MONSTER!!!
  9. QUOTE(GBlum27 @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:28 PM) GREAT CATCH URIBE Crede better f***ing reedem himself at some point He's well past due.
  10. Ground ball to Konerko, force out taken at home, 2 outs, bases loaded, Renteria up.
  11. You can't give a team full of this many good hitters extra outs. You just can't. When you get one, it's a gift.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) Buehrle's going to have to start going inside on these hitters. Like I said, they have a great approach against Buehrle. Just as you say that Mark Brushes Mueller back.
  13. C'Mon Mark, time for one of them patented ground balls.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) Yep, besides for that first inning of the first series, none of Rowand's catches were truly sensational catches. Sure, he got very good jumps and caught the ball. However, I'd guess that almost any CF not named Bernie would have caught a majority of those fly balls. The Seattle catch basically won the Sox the game. I think that there's very few CF's who would have made all those plays...guys named Edmunds, Jones, a healthy Hunter come to mind, but other than that I think a lot of them would have fallen and been taken on 1-2 hops.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) Am I the only one who is finding it amusing how much press Rowand has received for his defense in NY, even though his catch vs Seattle was much more important in the scheme of things? Nope. And I don't think anything from NY was his best work of the year either. Thank Goodness we don't have a biased media.
  16. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 12, 2005 -> 05:14 PM) Do you agree with my statement though? Absolutely...Uribe or Crede gets hot and this team would be nearly unstoppable. Pods with the deep fly out to Damon.
