  1. Ok, I think everyone can find something to agree with in this statement... Neither Santana nor Nathan are having the seasons they had last year, and neither of them have numbers that on their own would make them an all star. Their numbers last year are the reasons they are there. Neither one of them really deserves it, but at least 1 of them had to be included.
  2. QUOTE(Jimenez4MVP @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 06:40 PM) Santana was a one year wonder.. he shouldnt even be an all star except Minnesota has nothing else to send to the game Except of course he's leading the league in strikeouts, and Nathan is also there.
  3. Great, now Santana will come in and fall apart.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) Can somweone briefly give me an overview of what MB did in his 2 innings? I unfortunately came in from my jog in the bottom of the 2nd only to see Tejada's HR... Struck out 3 (Including DLee), 1 double play, 3 hits given up - Abreu, Pujols, and Ramirez.
  5. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 06:17 PM) any idea when Garland is scheduled to appear? Probably 5th or 6th inning.
  6. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) scott rolen would of had that Scott Rolen might have gotten it if it was a groundball to 2nd.
  7. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 06:11 PM) Kinda strange rooting for all of these other A.L. players but that's ok. The only day I'll root for a Twins player too. Just root against the Cubbies, it will make everything else more comfortable.
  8. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Did I hear the NaNaNaNa hey hey hey goodbye song... in DETROIT? Lots of places use it, but no one would have heard it had it not been for Nancy.
  9. Mark's on line for the win! Thank you Miguel! I told you they couldn't get through Tejada with no one scoring!
  10. Smoltz comes in during the 2nd inning...very short outing for Carpenter. LaRussa must be protecting his own guy.
  11. There, now Mark's down to a 1.50 WHIP. Happy? Mark'd be on pace for a 14 strikeout performance here.
  12. 2nd strikeout for our guy. Let's go Mark, let's try to get you the win.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 06:02 PM) It's hard to tell on tv if he had a shot at that or not but he's not a good right fielder, his arm overshadows his defensive ineffectiveness. And what an arm he has...
  14. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 06:00 PM) does colon seriously still have the hologram sticker on the bottom of his hat? hahahah I'm sure he's using it to doctor the ball.
  15. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 05:59 PM) I like this whole Tejada/Robers thing behind Mark. Yeah...think we could get ahold of those guys?
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 05:56 PM) So who thinks that it's humanly possible for a pitcher to get past Ramirez and Tejada with RISP and no runs scoring? Well, shows what I know.

  18. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 05:52 PM) 2.00 whip, unacceptable When those hits are recorded by guys named Abreu and Pujols...well, there just isn't much you can do about it.
  19. Now personally...it's still this next group of people that I've been waiting to see. Damon, Arod, Ortiz, Ramirez if anyone gets on. This is one hell of a scary lineup.
  20. Warming up in the bullpen, from the Chicago White Sox, starting pitcher Mark Buehrle!
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 05:25 PM) I dare you to find a more powerful man than Pujols. That man hits homeruns that would be weak fly balls on the back of the infield by any other man. Presumably we're excluding chemically altered people.
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) David Ecstein starting the ASG LOL. Hate to say it, but the guy's earned it. Only a couple guys have numbers as good as him.
