Very interesting. Cant complain much at all with what Iguchi has done this year in the 2 hole. He has really been fantastic. It would be interesting to see his approach if he is moved to the 3 hole next season.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) We have 6 walks. That's like a weeks worth for this team. I know, but IIRC we have also hit into outs 6+ times going after either the 1st or 2nd pitch. -

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) Burgios will walk people, let's just be patient and get one this inning. Thing is, we havent been patient at all this game. A lot of first/second pitch outs. -

QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:24 PM) There is the squeeze and a two run lead, now we are done. --If we are done without a fight at home against one of the worst teams in baseball history, we got problems. We aint done yet. I am just thankful for the 7 game W streak leading up to today. A sweep would have been nice, but we still won the series. KC would be the best bet for a sweep though... -

QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 08:21 PM) Viz's slider and sinker also give a better chance for a double play but on the flip side he is more prone to the HR. A 3 run blast here seals the deal. Even a 1 run deficit like there is now may be too mcuh. -

Nice job pitching out of it Freddy. These last 2 games have to be frustrating for the Royals although I am sure they have suffered much worse this season (19 game L streak) -

We still have 18 outs to try and score some runs. Hopefully Sisco gets put into the game. For some reason we seem to do well against him. -

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 08:53 AM) Lineups 1 Scott Podsednik, LF 2 Tadahito Iguchi, 2B 3 Carl Everett, DH 4 Paul Konerko, 1B 5 Aaron Rowand, CF 6 Timo Perez, RF 7 Chris Widger, C 8 Geoff Blum, 3B 9 Juan Uribe, SS LF Kevin Youkilis, 3B Edgar Renteria, SS David Ortiz, DH Manny Ramirez, LF Trot Nixon, RF Jason Varitek, C Kevin Millar, 1B Tony Graffanino, 2B Gabe Kapler CF We actually have a decent lineup for this one. Yes Timo is in, but I think all of us thought it was going to be worse than it is. our 6-9 hitters scare me except for Uribe if he can keep his hot streak rolling -

QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 07:06 PM) If that's the case then we'll all be wondering what could've been in '05. I wish it weren't so, but as a man once said, "wish in one hand and s*** in the other and see which fills up first." Even if 05 ends on a sour note, 06 looks VERY bright. We are going to hopefully have lots of $$$ to spend and have lots of trade bait and good fillers/possible starters(bmac, anderson and co.)

QUOTE(Chifananthony @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) Im predicting NO DEAL, and we lose the division by one game, and become the biggest embarrassment in this city's baseball history. FIFTEEN GAMES UP AND LOSE THE DIVISION. THIS REALLY SUCKS. I am assuming you are saying we wouldnt get the WC either then? -

This is from WSI so take it for what its worth: Supposedly on the baseball show on XM radio said the White Sox were close to aquiring walker. However, this source had also said we basically had Ibanez and Pedro Feliz so dont get your hopes up. Dont shoot the messenger.
