  1. I'm probably in the minority, but I like a defined strike zone. I can't stand when an announcer says a particular pitcher needs a certain pitch to be called a strike. To me, it's right in the rules of the game. To get a called strike, you need to throw it through the strike zone. I just want the umpires to get the call right, and to be consistant
  2. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 09:35 PM) Garcia and Garland...just...wow..those guys are f***ing great. Hmm, I see a pattern there.
  3. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 04:12 PM) To get to Paulie? Thome hasn't been hitting well lately. I'd take my chances with Jim if I were Wedge. Gload's in the game now. He came in to pinch run.
  4. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 03:15 PM) In other words, Paulie gets a free pass because he's Paulie. Way to be objective. :rolly There's no denying that this team's situational hitting woes go far beyond Anderson and Uribe. By your logic, it's OK to expect some guys to come through ALL of the time, but totally unrealistic to expect others to come through even once in a long while.
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 09:41 AM) So McCarthy then. So I guess Carl Crawford will not be patrolling CF for the White Sox anytime soon. Ervin Santana > McCarthy, and the Angels would be crazy to make that deal.
  6. QUOTE(Big Hurtin @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) Anyone else watching on Directv. 742 in the guide says Tigers at White Sox, but there's poker on. Where's the game? If anyone else has the same problem, they are showing the game on 636 (Detroit's broadcasters).

  8. What time does their flight leave?
  9. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 08:42 PM) Alright, looks like I joined at a good time here. Let's chase Padilla out of this ballgame right NOW. Too late.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) Wow...actual intelligent, good baseball from our offense. It's been a while. It also made the sac fly an option, but when you don't need it, who cares? Or passed ball / wild pitch.
  11. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 04:07 PM) I give it two years before Abreu is on the Sox. Red
  12. I heard a rumor. They say you got a broken heart.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) One of the better ABs from Uribe in a long time. And Mackowiak is in, so let the b****ing about his defense in the 9th inning begin. we got a winner.
  14. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 06:11 AM) Pablo Ozuna has been working out in center. Hawk: "and that's trouble" "and that's trouble" "and that's trouble" :banghead :banghead
  15. Hypothetically, if the White Sox were in the Twins' shoes in 2003, what percentage of the board would be b****ing about the deal and not wanting to give up A.J. ? I bet it would be high.
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 31, 2006 -> 10:55 PM) Which is why I hate the "I'm going to vote for every White Sox player regardless" mentality. That's why I won't vote anymore. The system is broken. It's such a joke. I would vote for who I felt deserved it regardless of who they played for. Obviously, the Yankees and Red Sox fans are stuffing the ballot boxes voting in just their guys. On one hand, I couldn't care less. But, what bothers me is when they say player X is a Y time all-star when the whole system is a joke.
  17. My dream lineup would be: 1 - Podsednik 2 - Iguchi 3 - Thome 4 - Konerko 5 - Griffey Jr. 6 - Dye 7 - Pierzynski 8 - Crede 9 - Uribe I know that people joke about getting Griffey, but I think it would be a great addition provided that: 1. he's available (obviously) 2. he would cost too much (as far as prospects) 3. not getting rid of Anderson (keep him as the backup and give him at bats when you can afford to / Gload's pretty much wasting a roster spot and Mackowiak is a corner outfield backup) 4. not in lieu of bullpen help, but in addition to I doublt it will happen for many reasons, but one can dream.
  18. I say bat Uribe leadoff to get him out of the way.
  19. QUOTE(SnB @ May 30, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) look at those pants he has on in the 2nd picture, no wonder the ladies are all over him. Those pants........incredible Where's Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd?
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 29, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) They didnt change the graphic from the bottom of the 3rd. I know. I should have made it green.
  21. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ May 29, 2006 -> 02:26 PM) Does this Jason Davis guy really throw 97 MPH? Are there really runners at 1st and second?
