QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Oct 22, 2016 -> 12:57 AM) Paddy Power paid out their Clinton bets after the third debate believe it or not. Pardon my ignorance, but do betting establishments take bets on elections?

Apparently comedian Kevin Meaney has passed, that's not right.

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 11:28 PM) It would be one of the all time postseason mistakes to not have Kershaw pitch tomorrow. Having him pitch at home, against Lester where perhaps 1 or 2 runs will make a difference, is essential for momentum and the greatest possibility of entering Game 6 up 3-2. I don't see how, since the Dodgers have to win a game Kershaw doesn't start anyway. I could see the logic if they already had 3 wins and didn't want to let the Cubs get back into it. If Kershaw were to win game 5, the Cubs would still have homefield advantage as well as better starting pitching.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 19, 2016 -> 09:41 PM) This is brutal. How did we get to this We're a country of morons, sadly.

QUOTE (bruni @ Oct 9, 2016 -> 08:40 PM) Watching the underwhelming starting pitching from Texas and Boston and thinking the WSox just HAVE to exploit this in the off season. What say you, WSox nation - do you even trust that we would get a sufficient return??? Other than Rodon, Fulmer and the young pitching all can go if the price is right: Abreu, Eaton, - anything with a chance to return back better than what you give up. Time to start over. No

How can someone so childish be the Republican nominee? I just don't get it.

This was apparently from July, but I just heard about it today from someone at work. https://www.washingtonpost.com/amphtml/poli...7583_story.html Excerpt “I’ve got black accountants at Trump Castle and at Trump Plaza — black guys counting my money!” O’Donnell’s book quoted Trump as saying. “I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. Those are the kind of people I want counting my money. Nobody else. . . . Besides that, I’ve got to tell you something else. I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is; I believe that. It’s not anything they can control.”

Haha, perfect.

QUOTE (Dunt @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 03:54 PM) I see this being the case too and it makes the most sense. I think they try to spin him to Boston for a package like Moncada, Benintendi, Swihart, and something in hope of plugging a couple holes while staying competitive. Yeah, Boston is NEVER going to make that deal.

This is why the race is still close. The not paying federal taxes doesn't negatively impact him with his supporters. They aren't upset about it, but are envious that he was able to get away with it.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 12:39 PM) It's not even noon yet and here's a summary of all the crazy stuff happening: And a bunch of really good polls for Clinton coming out today and yesterday, such as: Could South Park actually be right on the money, rather than making a farce?

QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 01:00 PM) Uh, yeah, that's it. Ticket revenue doesn't matter when running a sports franchise. $35 million dollars is chump change. You've obviously never run a business before. If you knew anything about business, you'd know that net worth includes non-cash assets, such as his financial stakes in the Sox and Bulls. The idea that Reinsdorf is an old miser when his franchise is near the bottom 20% of the league in attendance, but in the top half in payroll is silly. The idea that he should dump his own personal savings into the team's payroll is equally silly. It actually benefits Reinsdorf to have lower attendance. "The Sox also must pay a fee on each ticket sold in excess of 1.93 million in paid attendance. Since 2008, the Sox have paid that fee only in 2010, when games drew 2.2 million fans. However, the Sox were allowed to apply a credit based on the taxes the team paid that year, reducing the ticket fee payment from $455,974 to $95,531. "The White Sox didn't have that much of an incentive to really pack the place," Sanderson said." http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-sox-...0521-story.html

QUOTE (juddling @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 12:17 AM) While i don't think NK will start WWIII, i will say that if i had to bet on anyone starting it.....it would be them. I don't know, I think the American and Chinese influence in each country would prevent it. If I was betting on such a thing, the nuclear war would start between India and Pakistan. Just talking about nukes in general, I think it will be one of the west African nations with a dirty bomb.
