  1. This had loss written all over it the moment we only scored 2 runs in the first. Agonizing.
  2. The team is going to re sign Leury, aren’t they?
  3. Except 10 days is about all Robert has left before his IL stint.
  4. I would IL Moncada and call up Hamilton to run and play backup CF.
  5. My solution would be to wait until we hear about TA’s injury today, for one thing, and for a second thing, seeing how the team plays for the next three weeks before writing them off in a dissertation that is 67 moves ahead of itself.
  6. Andrus facing a guy they just said righties are hitting .500 off of and he grounds to third. I have such a headache from this game.
  7. Yes they aren’t playing well but come on, they aren’t going to be out of it in April. You think they’re going to go 4-20? Even 8-16 won’t be out of it yet.
  8. Love to get killed by our backup 3B playing garbage defense in an important divisional matchup
  9. Everyday Elvis doing Everyday Elvis things! #ironman
  10. Just terrible ABs by Sheets and Grandal.
  11. It’s like this organization is allergic to abandoning the concept of “grinderball”. I’m going to tweet at all the beat writers every morning until he’s benched to ask when Everyday Elvis and his .379 OPS gets a day off while Moncada and Robert are babied
  12. We need Wild West style posters with red Xs for all the DFAs
  13. How many day games are we going to play? Yeesh.
  14. Glancing at the league leaders in PA/AB, I can’t get a clear idea for whether these scheduled days off, especially for younger players, are normal league wide or if the White Sox are an anomaly. It seems like some teams have 5 players that have played every single game (TOR, CLE, SEA to name a few), whereas the Sox have just 3 (Anderson - who was ejected in one, Andrus, Colas - who PH in a couple of his). The Rays also only have 3 players who have hit in every team game. Can anyone with access to more advanced ways of aggregating stats share whether the Sox are in step with the rest of the league on this, or if they are resting players more than average?
  15. 40-50 games seems to be about what it takes to see where a team might be at. I think we all have a right to be very frustrated given the last two seasons, but the fact is we still have a very talented team that is certainly capable of winning 90 games in a weak division…even if they start something like 22-28, because getting Hendriks and Crochet back plus adding relevant bullpen and bench pieces at the deadline could truly turn this into a very good team that hits its stride at the right time. It’s very tempting to want to be right about this team being bad, but it’s just too early to know with a group with this much raw talent, and that may not be a bad thing.
  16. 1983 team started 16-24. 2008 team was 14-17 at one point.
