  1. a serious playoff contender just cannot lose two games to KC at home, that's totally unacceptable

  5. QUOTE(cgaudin @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 09:32 PM) Explain this to me...how in the high holy hell do the Royals stick it to the Twins in impressive fashion and we look like little leaguers when we play them. WTF!~ because sometimes you play like s*** and it has nothing to do with how good your opponent is THE. TWINS. ARE. DONE. pm to join the fanclub
  6. Gardenhire can just keep setting up his pitching staff to blow it all out against the white sox because he's guaranteed more letdowns like tonight in the coming weeks Radke is probably one thread away from his arm snapping off. You know what one more DL stint by a pitcher would do to this team? Think Red Sox August spiral. THE TWINS ARE DONE say it with me folks
  7. How are the Twins the hottest team in baseball right now? Maybe the hottest team in baseball with a two game losing streak... Silva looked BRUTAL on sunday, and the last two times we've seen Santana, we've hit him hard even though we lost both games. This certainly is NOT the dominant second half Santana we've seen in the past tonight they lost a game at home to the worst team in the majors also, the Twins are 9-8 in their last 17. Again, I fail to see how this is particularly "hot"
  8. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 10:28 PM) I. Hope. You're. Right. I don't see how you can say that, though. The Twins are like roaches. They ain't goin' nowhere. Again, Bonser, Garza, an injured Radke and Silva.... I know our rotation hasn't been good but those guys are not going to get it done I don't care what kind of organizational/coaching advantage you think they have
  9. I'm pretty sure if I was a twins fan I'd be going ballistic right now I've said it once and I'll say it again: Twins. Are. Done.
  10. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:55 PM) I don't give a s*** what anybody says. We lose this game, we're finished. for once, I completely agree.
  11. it's all based on computer simulations of the remainder of the season
  12. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Aug 28, 2006 -> 09:21 PM) those odds are bulls*** the twins are 1/2 game better than the sox, yet they have an 18% better chance to make the playoffs because of that? um, 7 home games vs. the Royals....
  13. I was at the game today, and it made the last two nights seem like bad dreams
  14. QUOTE(SoxnGiants @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 11:01 AM) I think Detroit is False & Boston is True. I think Detroit was 2 games up on us at teh break, I'm just guessing about Boston. Yeah, I meant August 1, and edited to reflect that. I know we were only 2-2.5 back of detroit at the break. Don't forget that Detroit is in NY next week and we have the potential to make up 2 or 3 games on them right there.
  15. QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 10:52 AM) The concern isn't that the Sox are only 1.5 games back of the WC race; the concern is that they have been slipping further and further back since the ASB now, and aside from a few flashes of brilliance, have shown no signs of turning it around. Unless Minn. and Detriot completely fall apart, the Sox' current level of play will lead to some golf outings in early October. True or false - The White Sox have gained ground on these two teams since Aug 1: 1) Detroit 2) Boston
  16. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) Okay i had a night to sleep on this horrible loss. I feel alittle better. You have to look at the possitives going right now. Detroit is slumping. So we are STILL just 5.5 games back of Detroit. So a win today and another Detroit loss just means we are just .5 games back of the WC AND just 4.5 games behind Detroit. If Detroit wasn't crapping the bed so badly right now, things would look significantly more grim. I'm certainly not conceding until mid-september, and only if we are 7-8 games back of a playoff spot at that point. I wonder if fans of every team quit so easily on their team when they are 1.5 games out of a playoff spot in August I guess we need a "Anyone who thinks that this team can catch Minnesota is crazy" fanclub.
  17. I will gladly eat some of that crow too, fathom
