  1. I’m so angry after tonight. I think I hit a breaking point. Placing this promising team - these incredible prospects - into the befuddled hands of Head boofalagus Tony La Russa might be the most tragic White Sox event of my lifetime. I feel like I am living in the middle of a five year nightmare I can’t escape. I’m not stupid enough to say I’ll quit this team because I won’t, I love the White Sox and baseball too much to let these clowns take away what’s precious to me. However, it must be said - the culture of this organization is toxic, and I won’t stop talking about it with everyone I talk to who gives a damn about real Chicago sports until it changes. This is unacceptable. We are the laughingstock of knowledgeable baseball people, and not one team used more resources to get less this year. This isn’t working and it is time for a major shakeup, and we need to keep being vocal. One thing about Sox fans that sets us apart is that we don’t accept shit like this and we make noise about it. The only way this changes is if we keep talking about it everywhere we possibly can.
  2. Isn’t that the same count he IBBed with before? Lolllll is he just trolling everyone? What an ass
  3. It’s like if TLR’s half baked starting plan doesn’t pan out, the Sox lose unless they get lucky or the other team makes mistakes. He’s just so stupidly one dimensional.
  4. Took one of best Sox buddies with me, she and I probably dropped $300 combined today between the tickets and all the food and beverage.
  5. We all know the real difference is depth. True title contenders in 2022 build a team where you have ridiculous talent coming off the bench. Look at the way LAD and SDP keep acquiring top tier talent, the way NYY and BOS used to do and still do to a certain extent. Meanwhile the White Sox rely on a plethora of AAAA talent as the second line, and they cannot offensively compete when they have any injuries. That all being said, I still say if all the pieces happen to stay healthy for the last few weeks you could see an incredible run.
  6. Also this was a tough game to be at in person. Yes I stayed til the end. ?
  7. My thoughts are the same as they were when I looked at the lineup. If they aren’t fully healthy they aren’t competitive with top level AL teams. If Anderson and Robert get healthy and everyone else stays healthy, I still think they are offensively capable of being dangerous. When you have Pollock leading off and Romy batting ninth with Harrison and Gavin down there too, it’s not enough talent in the order.
  8. Wasn’t Gavin 4 for his first 4 today?
  9. I missed the crucial one and just saw it. So he might play today, he might not? IL isn’t in the picture? So weird that this team plays a man down for a week or two at a time.
  10. So where are we at on this today? It’s so aggravating to get literally no updates on this
  11. Huge win. Felt like a playoff game. We’re in the Astros’ heads now.
  12. I guess that my point is if those five players are basically healthy from Sept 15 to Nov 5 and the Sox are in the playoffs, I like our chances, so writing off the season at this point based on our record with uncharacteristically high Leury and Sheets and Haseley doses feels premature. With injuries, this has just been an extremely unlucky year. But bear in mind that the double headers, Vaughn still “paying his dues” (I guess) early this season, and with La Russa’s wacky Sunday lineups on any given day, it should be a lot more than a nine game sample size and it isn’t. I have a feeling if everyone is actually healthy this team could be a sleeping monster as-is
  13. When we have Anderson/Robert/Jimenez/Abreu/Vaughn all in the starting lineup, we do hit XBH. in the 9 games they've all started together, they've had 26 extra base hits and scored an average of nearly 5 runs a game.
  14. He definitely seems injured a lot, but I was surprised to do a quick calculation and it seems like he's played 527 of 708 team games since the beginning of 2018, 74.4% of the team games.
  15. Absolutely. And probably the most aggravating thing about this season is that there will also be a bunch of meatball fans who cite the tried and true "80+ wins/they were close/a few games of injuries" company line that's been touted since about 1999.
  16. I'm making an assumption that if they have a fully healthy lineup for three weeks and our oafish manager just fills out the lineup card right that we can win at a much better clip, especially with 5 starters now pitching well enough and the bullpen rounding into form.
  17. Yes, the goal is to win the world series. Of course. But do you think that anything less than winning the world series is unacceptable for this team this season? Because I think if we were to win the American League and lose the World Series to the Dodgers that would still be a successful season.
  18. The stuff with Robert lately is just weird, but it seems to me like Eloy just had two really unlucky fluky injuries in a row.
