  1. 2018? WORST PITCHER IN BASEBALL…BUT HE HAD SOMETH…wait never mind
  2. Apple TV announcers are clowning the decision to not put Ramirez on. We have officially hit a new low.
  3. Yoan is probably not ever going to have a season like 2019 again, as I think his BABIP of .406 was one of the highest in baseball history, but he is still way, way, way better offensively than most people here want to give him credit for. He is a very high variance player due to strikeouts and his overall offensive profile but I believe he is still a reliable 3-4 WAR player.
  4. I’m not ready to look at Eloy’s sample size from this year and think it indicates anything. Even with his struggles / injuries, the guy still does produce at a 37 home run per 162 clip and has an 800+ OPS. If he can stay healthy, he will produce. Grandal, on the other hand….given Seby’s emergence as a semi legit offensive player I give Grandal a pretty short leash in the second half of he can’t get on base. If he can get on base, I don’t worry about his batting average or power. I’m worried about his eye right now.
  5. Is this the best value for a veteran slugger on a $50 million+ contract in MLB? Since 2020, Abreu has generated 8.5 fWAR, and the Sox have paid him to date 2020 37% of 12,666,667 - $4,686,666 2021 $17,666,667 2022 (to date - 88 team games played out of 162) $10,683,127 $33,036,460 paid to date / 8.5 fWAR = $3,886,642 per 1 fWAR
  6. Can Harrison knock off the high stepping to second? The last couple of times he’s hit a double it seems like if he was going hard he might have at least thought about three.
  7. Yes, I know. Which is why I said “as much as possible”.
  8. I finally understand the priorities of this team 1) getting Leury enough PAs to get him back to .270 2) making sure Eloy / Moncada / Vaughn / Abreu / Anderson are absolutely never in the lineup at the same time all year except as a last resort when a win is needed to maintain fan interest 3) never having a winning streak longer than four games or losing streak longer than three games as much as possible 4) not having a single player qualify for any offensive stats by keeping their ABs under 3.1/team game 5) laughing at fans for caring

at this point, I think this is mostly correct. Jerry is complacent, old, and just wants to be surrounded by his people. Institutionally we are so toxic. It is an utter shame we are wasting this much talent.
  10. Jerry Reinsdorf is Jose Abreu’s no trade clause. He will be re-signed for 2/$40 or something as a farewell tour.
  11. That’s a different thing than the shooter still being at large, which is what I was responding to.
  12. if Highland Park were 10 miles away instead of 30 miles away from GRF, I would agree with you.
  13. How many player games did the starting 9 and starting rotation and closer of the 2019 White Sox lose to injury through 76 games, combined? How many player games have the starting 9 and starting rotation and closer of the 2022 White Sox lose to injury through 76 games, combined?
  14. Yoan is an extremely high variance player going through an absolutely brutal streak. He’s a 3.5 RWAR avg per 162 that I think he will straighten out into a reliable 4 RWAR third baseman. No, it’s not a 6 RWAR beast we would thought he might be, but 4 is completely fine. If the White Sox can come around that Eloy can just DH, I still think he will be fine. His numbers are still offensively pretty good, and he still has to develop at this level. He hasn’t played nearly enough games to evaluate yet. Luis is a great potentially generational player in the making who is still young and raw. i guess I’m still optimistic about the talent on this team - just not the organizational execution and oversight.
  15. Since signing his last contract: .279/.361/.502/.863 70 extra base hits per 162 games (36 doubles, 1 triple, 33 homers/162) 67 BB per 162 games 121 RBI per 162 games Hard to argue his contract hasn't been worth it. Vaughn has flourished offensively despite not playing his natural position, and Jose has been as good as he has throughout his entire career.
  16. White Sox fans are some of the most passionate, intelligent fans in baseball. I think that it's imperative for all of us not to abandon this team, but to make our displeasure with ownership absolutely known. We need to fight back and be loud - to our fellow fans, in the stands, in the media in this city. Unlike Bears fans and Cubs fans, we need to make it known that this ownership is unacceptable. I'm not about to quietly let this owner take this team away from me, or walk away from the team I've loved for 40 years. I intend to be as vocal as I can. I was very patient with this rebuild, but I have completely lost faith. Jerry and this group needs to go.
