QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 09:31 AM) Too much science; time for stupid. Haha.
-
And are they going to make Bane seem a little bigger before it's all said and done?
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 09:17 AM) Bane absolutely seems to be in the Batcave... that is no good for Bruce. I dunno, that could be an abandoned building. Is now a good time for someone to create the Dark Knight Rises thread for possible spoilers and such?

QUOTE (MAX @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 01:58 AM) Could have been a series finale. I have no idea where the show goes from here. I don't really care for the nucky character. Maybe it will draw me back in next year. Who would? He's a gangster and a corrupt politician. He covers all bases of hate-ability. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 09:20 AM) I'm hoping season 3 and 4 focuses on the rise of Capone and Luciano, with Nucky's Atlantic City still being the focal point. I think they'll also have Harold Remus play a part since he was such a major figure during actual prohibition. If anyone hasn't watched the Ken Burns 3 part series on prohibition, i'd recommend it. It gives a lot of real background information that's interesting, but also relevant to some of the few characters introduced in the show (Remus, Esther Randolph, etc) Don't forget Meyer Lansky. He often gets pushed to aside in people's minds, but he's arguably the most successful real gangster on the show.

QUOTE (The Gooch @ Dec 13, 2011 -> 09:01 AM) Van Alden does live in Cicero now... I believe they are going to get Capone more involved as time goes on too Definitely, and I love it. If people didn't get my Al Neri reference, he was one of Michael Corleone's capos and a former cop.

I was completely serious.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 11:56 PM) I'm already preparing myself for the impact on my daily life... Haha, that'd be the cynical way of looking at it.

Incredible beyond words.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 11:03 PM) Well why wouldn't they? OZ is the most fun manager in the game. I can think of no reason not to.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 09:27 PM) No, the comment would be about how all of these players are tripping all over themselves for the opportunity to play for Ozzie.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 08:45 PM) That would be great if the series lasted long enough to get in to John Dillenger's rise, but I would imagine we would have to see the show go 7 or 8 seasons unless they pull off a big time jump of 2-3 years. I don't think it'd be a huge stretch, as the next season will already be 1922 or 1923. But I don't think they need to add any other historical characters, plus I think Dillinger was located more throughout the Midwest.

Poor, pathetic Dexter. I can't tell if it's trying way too hard or not nearly enough. Either way, it's so much a daytime soap that it's sad. It's not only repeating itself over and over, but it's stealing plots from other shows.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 04:58 PM) I had two simpsons villains in my top 10. HANK SCORPIO?!?!?!! HOW DID I FORGET HIM?!

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 04:54 PM) I actually thought that the only end was Jimmy being killed, but I thought they did a good job of leaving it unclear if Nucky was actually going to do it: "Well that means I have a decision to make" and then having Jimmy do all of his dirty work with regard to the KKK, treasurer etc. I think next season will be a little different, clearly Van Alden going to Cicero isnt just a coincidence and with the trial/Darmody story line wrapped up, seems Nucky needs some new enemies. Maybe its time that the church and Nucky go to war. Perhaps he goes the route of Al Neri from The Godfather trilogy.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 12:33 PM) That would be cool, although it may be hard to maintain that storyline without him killing everybody. Maybe he gets picked up as a soldier by the butcher or someone else? I can't see him working for the butcher, as he's the murderer of the person Richard was arguably closest to (Jimmy's wife). QUOTE (The Gooch @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 04:10 PM) http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/12/11/boardwalk-empire-finale/2/ Here is an interview about the finale and for all those wondering, Richard is still going to be a part of the show Fantastic. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 04:18 PM) Yeah I read Sepinwall's interview. Sounds like the writer expected everyone to get the hint that Jimmy was telling Richard to move on and try to live a non-violent life away from war/killing. I kinda got that, but not to the point where I thought Richard wouldn't want to enact some sort of vengeance. And really I guess they've established that Richard is deadly assassin. He could conceivably take out everyone involved in Jimmy's death, but 1) they can't because Nucky is never killed in real life, and 2) that would essentially end the show. They changed Nucky's name for the show in order to be able to stray from the biography of the actual Nucky Johnson.

QUOTE (Cali @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 01:25 PM) Ha! Awesome. I put Mr. Burns on my list as a total thinking-outside-the box kinda choice, but I see other did as well... It didn't even cross my mind, but it's a great one.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 10:09 AM) Wow, Boardwalk Empire...so good. Thoughts, with spoilers: The episode has aired, so I don't think you need to do spoilers. I believe they are showing Nucky's transition to an actual gangster, and that's why he murdered Jimmy himself. I was a little drunk when I watched the show last night so I didn't catch everything, but I liked how Jimmy told off his mother one last time with the horse scene.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 01:52 AM) Ah man, I was bummed. I really enjoyed his character. Anyway, I did not see that coming with all the storylines that were attached to Dormody. And the thought that Nucky chose to believe Eli over Jimmy, even though Eli was lying and Jimmy told the truth really sucks. As for Richard, I don't know what becomes of him. As far as the war flashback goes, were they trying to show that Jimmy actually did fight in the war, because the idea was that he was too scared to fight and ran away? You talking about Jimmy or Richard? And I believe they showed the war flashbacks to cement Jimmy's line that he already died in the trenches. Also, I don't think Nucky believes Eli at all. He stuck with him simply because he's his brother (IMO, at least). QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 12, 2011 -> 08:18 AM) I didn't even think about him. I bet he just disappears, but I could also see him becoming like a scorned ex-lover hunting down Nucky for what he did to Jimmy. Can't wait to see Nucky's reaction when he sees the deed for the property. I don't think there's any way he just disappears. The character is too good to fade away like that, and now he's lost the only two people who have meant something to him since the war. I think he goes off the handle.

Sheep.

Cmon, someone discuss Boardwalk. That was amazing. What will happen to Richard? I don't think he just goes away.

I did not see that ending for Boardwalk Empire coming, not even by a long shot. Awesome. That was great

QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 10:57 PM) I feel for certain that Pujols cheats. Don't know if my suspicions will ever be proven, but there's something about him that seems unnatural to me. Agreed.

QUOTE (Jillian Michaels' Abs @ Dec 10, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) Right. A second test was negative. Which is why MLB isn't coming right out and saying "Ryan Braun tested positive for XYZ and has been suspended 50 games..." Apparently there is a reason for the positive test that is perfectly explainable - hence the second negative test. I'll have to check my twitter feed. Hour ago or so it popped up. Or he was on the clean part of his steroid cycle the second time around.
