Man breaks into KW's house, defrosts lobster
Milkman delivers replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
There are so many other worse words that start with "def-", and each time I see the thread on the front page I think it's one of them for a second. -
QUOTE (chw42 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 03:33 PM) It's a breath of fresh air to see the players cooperating with the league, unlike that other league who won't have a season... Oh yeah.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 02:18 PM) I like Shane and Daryl. Honestly, what has Dale brought to the table this year? "No, you can't have the gun", lots of whining and complaining, "oh I'm sorry you didn't get the gun, here", "don't shoot!", "it's ok you shot Daryl". He's brought zilch. None of these s*** characters has save Daryl. This really is a completely terrible show... I have no idea why I still watch it. To me, Dale is the main voice of reason and the most reasonable and intelligent.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) Dale is one of the worst characters on the show. Seriously? We obviously disagree strongly here. Every character, minus Daryl, has gotten worse in the second season. But, Dale is still towards the top of the heap for me.
-
He let her off the hook for shooting Daryl because he is in love with her. Dale is one of 3 good characters on the show.
-
QUOTE (DirtySox @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 12:53 PM) As a White Sox fan, we should love it. Certainly. I'm disappointed in how it hurts certain teams though. I feel like it reins it in on both sides of the spectrum.
-
I'm sensing that everyone else is hating this, but I love it.

QUOTE (The Baconator @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 12:32 PM) I think those people are called compulsive gamblers. Haha.

Does anyone still think that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be anything other than what the official releases claim he'll be?

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 11:10 AM) I'm pretty sure MOST colleges treat athletes from their prized sports program more favorably than some random kid on campus. I'm not really shocked Paterno did this. I can promise you it happens everywhere. Definitely. -
QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 11:07 AM) PK and Brandon Short to the Giants for Huff, Belt, and Clay Tanner CQ to the Red Sox for Middlebrooks and Doubront Danks to the Nats for Purke, Taylor, and Norris Floyd to the Marlins for Ozuna and Poveda AJP to the Rangers for Yorvit Torrealba and Luis Sardinas Ramirez to the Braves for Salcedo, Minor, and Pastornicky Thornton to the Yanks for Hector Noesi 2012 Lineup C Flowers 1B Belt/Huff 2B Beckham SS Escobar 3B Morel/Huff RF Viciedo CF Rios/De Aza LF De Aza/Belt DH Dunn/Belt/Huff Bench Lillibridge Torrealba Ozzie Martinez Huff/Rios SP Peavy SP Humber SP Stewart SP Sale SP Minor CP Santos RP Ohman RP Frasor RP Reed/Axelrod RP Veal RP Santiago/Doubront RP Crain Not a good team, but a lot of young guys that can contribute by 2014. Depending on some of these guys develop you can move them for more pieces. If Santos pitches like he did he first half last year you can move him for a good return and put Reed in that role. Of course my idea of a rebuild is to burn the thing to the ground and start over, some people think we should try to compete for third in the division when we are rebuilding. I'll never understand why people would put in so much work for a hypothetical situation

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 10:41 AM) Yeah I didn't/still don't understand that. Is 5k really that much money? Jimmy begged him for business days/weeks before, and now he's so upset and annoyed about being asked about it that he puts a hit on him? Ehhhh. Also re the Walking Dead, a must read after each show: http://videogum.com/419182/the-walking-dea...nked/tv/recaps/ I think Jimmy sees it as more of a respect thing. He's now the boss, and he feels like people need to bend to his will. I don't think he had the money (or whiskey) when Manny first asked for it, but now that he does, he doesn't want to look like he's scared of Manny. It's childish, but he's a child.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 10:55 AM) Peavy has a NTC and I believe he wants nothing to do with the east coast. Until he has a bounce-back year this season and signs there for the most money. -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 09:50 AM) Pinchy! -
QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 10:39 AM) Well, that and he thinks Shane is a psycho based on the forest incident and the vague/questionable Otis story. And he's right. Dale is one of the few decent characters on the show on top of that.
-
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 10:32 AM) Yep, agree. I can't wait to see what his response is going to be. I liked the scene with Jimmy at the fight too. He's starting to get paranoid. Tough to be the new king in town. His reign clearly won't last long. I know they won't do it, but I'd love to see Manny kill him. Jimmy has turned into a real douche about the money he owes to Manny, among other things.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 10:34 AM) Except for the fact that Victim #1 has now been bullied out of his school with no reprocussions to anyone except him. Well, give that time. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 09:06 AM) grandstanding. Oh yeah. But still, perhaps all of the light shone on it will lead to people being more willing to report child abuse/molestation. -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 09:37 AM) As stupid as this s*** parade of a show is, does anyone think Shane did all that knowing the area was infested with zombies in order to teach Andrea how to shoot? Also, f*** Dale. Really, dude? You want this dude who continually saves your ass and puts his neck on the line to peace out because he f***ed Andrea? What is Dale's purpose? I f***ing abhor that guy. I did like Shane's little speech to him. It reminded me of Lucious Fox's speech to the guy who tried to blackmail Batman in The Dark Knight. But yes, the Walking Dead is stupid. Also, I like how Lori just happens to know the baby is Rick's. How convenient. I've always hated that b****... I was so happy when her head was in a box in Prison Break, and then they brought the character back to life explaining fake head. F*ck that actress, and f*ck the Walking Dead. Homeland was tits this week. It's feeling VERY 24 now (however, more realistic/believable). I hope they find some way to keep Brody around if they plan a 2nd season. Explain this. When has Shane really put his neck on the line (when nobody else has, at least)? And Dale is obviously mad because he likes Andrea and he knows Shane f***ed her. That seems pretty obvious.
-
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 22, 2011 -> 09:09 AM) The cleaver to the head was a great ending to that fight scene. Having little screen time, Manny Horvitz is already the best character on that show.
-
I wouldn't have thought that Nathan was older than Thornton.
-
QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 08:00 PM) Any theories on who LaGuerta was covering for? My first guess was that it was her boss, but that may not work because she hates him. At the same time, she could be helping for more leverage. It's either a cop or she personally cleaned up the scene, as it was almost certainly done professionally.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 06:02 PM) How about we just call it the Hank Aaron award, note that it already exists, and that Kemp and Bautista already won it this year? The problem is that nobody cares about anything other than the Cy Young and MVP (somewhat the ROY's). One of the two major awards needs to be solely for pitching and the other solely for hitting.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 06:23 PM) Yeah, pretty much. Though that was out of a way worse situation than Oakland. It's hard to believe there can be a worse situation than Oakland with the A's, but then again, there's the Rays and formerly the Expos.

Dexter really better come up with a good conclusion to this EJO thing. If they truly intend on him being a figment of Colin Hanks' imagination, it is the worst kept secret in the history of television. It's so blatantly obvious that I'm actually believing they must be doing it on purpose, and that he does exist. QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 21, 2011 -> 06:02 PM) nonsense, mad men was great from the beginning. It got a lot better, but that first season was brutal. I may not have stuck with it if I hadn't watched it on DVD.
