  1. That’s why it’s actually kind of fun. They’re so bad that you enjoy seeing how much they can lower the bar. Try to enjoy the time with your kid, because you ain’t winning money if you need all of those things to happen.
  2. Hard to believe we’re this bad with averages that good.
  3. Same here. He’s certainly the most likely guy in that picture. That’s for sure.
  4. Live in the area so just walk. Gotta be honest, I didn’t watch the game very much. Mostly watched the occasional pitch between conversations. Usually didn’t even know who was batting. Didn’t make it up to the stadium club. I’ve actually never even been up there. Do you have to pay extra to get up there? It was too cold for that crap anyway. I talked myself out of the soft serve sundae and rainbow cone because of the weather. Settled for a churro.
  5. Mostly to eat. Get an urge for ballpark food every once in a while. Sometimes to enjoy the weather (not tonight). Tickets were from a resale site. No parking. Probably spent about $40 or so on food for myself. Gotta be closer to half that actually in attendance.
  6. I want to feel like that, too, Chris. But I do not.
  7. Imagine how much worse it would be if he wasted this year?
  8. I was there, but didn’t hear it. Shame. I would’ve joined in.
  9. Poor Shaw. Rode the guy into the ground and tossed him aside.
  10. Seems none of Robert, Eloy, or Moncada are to see those 150 games.
  11. Do any of you know someone in your personal life who is extremely cheap? It’s like a disease. They put so much effort into acquiring their money and keeping it that when they’ve reached the point of being able to spend some of it to enjoy themselves or better their life, they just can’t let it go. That’s how I view JR. He could spend a little bit more money in the right spots (scouting, analytics, etc.) and improve his product exponentially which will lead to more revenue. He simply can’t bring himself to let go of that money.
  12. Dude, we all know it’s 100% true.
  13. I just don’t care enough about another team to start following them. I would simply stop watching baseball. MLB as a whole should be more concerned than JR about that mindset, as I’m positive I’m not the only person in that boat.
  14. I dunno. Give me the millions of dollars they’re making and I probably don’t care how the team is doing either.
  15. Is Triston McKenzie not the whitest name you’ve ever heard?
  16. I’m not arguing whether or not he was overpaid. I’m not even sure he’s referring to himself in that quote. But he’s definitely taking a shot at the organization.
  17. I know you said “potential”, but people are way too high on Crochet. It’s been three games. Same as Robert, he won’t be a factor for this team by the time they’re in contention again. We don’t need to protect him. We need to trade him as soon as he has value if the right trade comes along.
  18. That is definitely a shot at the Sox.
  19. It really sucks that we need to wait for someone (JR) to pass away for any of this to change. I don’t want to hope for something like that. It feels terrible to give in to thoughts like that. But he won’t sell the team and he obviously won’t do the things necessary to turn the franchise around, so it’s the only way we will ever have a respectable organization again.
  20. Also, if you let him finish out the year, he’s gotta be challenging for the worst managerial record of all time by win-loss percentage, right?
