Haha, that disparity is amazing. And people don’t want to trade Cease? The mfer has Boras as an agent. There is no way the Sox are keeping him one day longer than he’s currently obligated to stay. And knowing this disparity between players’ asking prices and what the Sox are willing to pay out, who will the Sox ever sign that is legitimately good and proven? They either have to develop their own talent (unlikely) or sign a bounce-back guy that will also leave immediately if they’re successful. So damn depressing.

I’m sure this is all a symptom of the apathy towards this franchise. Nobody is buying tickets anymore, so they’re likely offering these seats at a lower price. And that results in, how shall we say, a lower class of spectators showing up to the game.

No way I’m staying a fan if they relocate.

Just swallow your pride and give them Cubs gear. I believe more and more that the Sox are out of Chicago when the eventual sale happens anyway. You’re still dealing with a crappy team, but Cubs fans just seem generally happier. They have sort of a cartoonish humor about their crappiness. We have gallows humor, anger, and resentment.

That’s what I hear whenever I talk to people about the Sox, and it’s very bad for the franchise. People aren’t even upset anymore. They simply do not care what this team is doing.

Moncada has the bad back. What exactly got to Anderson? The personal issues? Monstars?

And Benintendi is so very average. He looks like the kind of guy who is on a new team every year. Good enough to fill in the hole in your outfield until your prospect comes up or you sign a real talent, then let him walk.

You are right that a AA roster next year would technically be worse than the AAA roster we have currently.

Technically those are still years.

Reading statements like this makes me sad. I know that we’ll all forget these guys’ names in a few years after they become busts.

To be clear, I don’t even care if these guys end up being crap. I say trade anyone from this roster for as much as you can get. This team is years away from contention, so might as well try to stock up on prospects again.
