There are protests and demonstrations, but they're always very small. The activists are not coming out in large numbers, at least in their home neighborhoods.

I think the most important thing to remember in all of this is that everyone but the people doing these things is to blame.

Just got back from it. More like Star-BORED! Na, it was awesome.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 28, 2014 -> 11:18 AM) Could be true, although my one buddy has a graduates degree in history (what a waste). It could also be the head guy simply asking the story teller questions to clarify certain parts of the story, and that's what makes the show. I'm sure editing is a huge part of it. Yes. It just doesn't seem like that difficult a process to go through. You're already dealing with comedians and they're drunk, so they're gonna say hilarious/stupid things. You probably just have to guide them a little.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 28, 2014 -> 11:11 AM) I'd love to see the process for how they tape/edit that show. I read an interview where the guy said it takes 6 hours or so to film, so it's not like he just shows up and the people are drunk and he just starts filming. It has to be scripted because there's no way a drunk person is going to remember what they're supposed to say or the story they're supposed to tell, but at the same time no one ever seems like they're reading from a prompter either. Maybe they memorize the lines before hand and then just try to stumble their way through it. We've tried to do a drunk history a couple times with friends and it just doesn't work. The person loses focus too quickly or you can't really tell what the heck they're talking about. No offense, but maybe your friends just don't know much about history. My guess is they ask a bunch of comedians which particular historical story they know, get them completely loaded, and simply let them talk about it.

Marvel just freakin' killing it.

First and foremost, I'd save any physical proof with regards to the tweets and texts. In case things don't work out, for custody and money battles in a possible divorce. Sorry to be so blunt right off the bat.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 25, 2014 -> 07:23 PM) They're just random, doesn't mean that'll be the ME though I think there's a decent chance it will be. Haha. Where the hell have you been lately? Haven't watched too much wrestling recently. I was getting back into it a few months ago, but fell off again. -

Random question, but how do you guys know the ages of the children these people are bringing to the movies?Do they announce it as they sit, or do you ask them?

I never had any idea that he was sick. He was my all-time favorite non-Sox player. Never heard anything negative about the guy, just a total class act and a true professional hitter. RIP.

There needs to be a name for Buehrle-type pitchers

Don't worry, greg will start inhaling Sale's balls as soon as the Sox trade him. -
I admit that I know nothing about this. But, what I do know is that a lot of the military people I know seem to be very upset about this. They're calling him a deserter and they seem especially upset that he was made a sergeant and a hero because of this.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 12:22 PM) He basically saved the lives of Scott Hall and Jake Roberts. Long story short, brought both of them into his home and helped get them sober when they were both basically goners. There's obviously more to it if you want to google the whole story but that's a real quick summary. Very cool, thank you. -

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 10, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) Apparently Nancy Grace used this to go off on wrestling as well. It's disgraceful. And she did it with DDP on the show who is basically the biggest f***in saint to ever wrestle. What do you mean about DDP? -

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 8, 2014 -> 07:43 AM) Last nights crowd was awesome, for everything. It was like the March 3rd Chicago show where everyone thought Punk was gonna show Where was it last night? -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Apr 8, 2014 -> 09:38 AM) Am I the only one on the planet that has not seen, or have any interest in seeing, any of these comic book movies (sans the Nolan Batman series)? I feel like I am. Please don't. If you see them, they'll no doubt fall short of your ludicrous standards, and we'll all be subjected to how much they actually suck.

The crowd reactions to Bryan are bringing me back to wrestling all by themselves. -
QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 5, 2014 -> 09:25 AM) Could the cold weather have messed his velocity up? From personal experience, I would say yes. At the second game, I was throwing about 33-34 mph on the radar gun on the outfield concourse. I'm usually in the 36-37 mph range.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 2, 2014 -> 11:44 PM) You knew Buehrle was only going to get better and better. He's one of those guys who will be a crafty lefty into his 40s (if he wants to keep going). That arm has been magical. Here's to that golden left arm remaining strong. He's a marvel. As long as you don't count last season, sure.

Cliffhangers are the hallmark of terrible writing. It's tough to explain why we continue to watch a show that so regularly disappoints. For me, it's because the show has this great potential that it never really reaches. It gets close for short spurts. It's to the point, though, where I won't even bother recording an episode if I know I'm not going to be able to catch it because I know I won't miss anything important. So my interest is definitely waning more and more. I know there are a bunch of other quality shows I can replace it with, but I'm just too lazy to catch myself up on any of them

Tigers extend Cabrera 10 years, $300 million
Milkman delivers replied to Balta1701's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 29, 2014 -> 12:55 AM) If the Tigers are worth less than the White Sox, have the withering Detroit economic downturn to deal with...and can still afford to pay Fielder, Verlander, Cabrera, Scherzer $650 million or whatever, well, there's money there if teams really want to spend it. It's not JUST about Mike Illitch's personal fortune at play here. The main point, though, is that they're not willing to spend it on 2nd tier players like Santana, Nelson Cruz, Stephen Drew and Kendrys Morales...especially when draft pick compensation is attached. But almost every team can sign a $15-20-25 million per year player...if they really want to. I never understood why you always use this format. The middle number is unnecessary. You're giving a range from a low end to a high end.
