QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 23, 2014 -> 11:25 AM) When I did it nobody got hurt. When Bieber did it nobody got hurt. Where's the victim? I know this will bring a suspension, but who cares. You're a f***ing idiot, Duke.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 22, 2014 -> 08:40 PM) Triple H and his involvement in the current WWE product: "…Well, I would love to give you an opinion, but I am clean and sober from WWE programming for several years now, and I do read what is going on, but it seems like it's more of the same. In my opinion, he was never the star, he was always the guy that worked with the guy that drew the money, and he continues to push his boring self down the people's throats. You know, what more can I say, I haven't seen it first hand, but at least he got a haircut…" Jim Cornette on HHH...............I agree with him on HHH. I would never have guessed that you'd agree with a statement like that. -
QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jan 14, 2014 -> 01:48 PM) I think True Detective is going to be very good. I really like the tone. Matthew McConaughey has become a tremendous actor. He always has been, but he was also always one of those guys who took the paycheck over the quality of the movie (like a Brendan Fraser or even Christopher Walken). Although Walken claims that any movie is just an opportunity to hone his craft.

Implying you had respect for Rodman in the first place.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 8, 2014 -> 08:56 PM) Blame the Hall of Fame voters, those assholes just grind my f***ing gears, even though I shouldn't care. Although they did get this one right and make the Big Hurt a first ballot HOFer, biggest honor in the game. From this point on, I will save my HOF vitrol for another thread. CONGRATS FRANK!!!

Just like Soxtalk to take a thread that should be one of the most joyous in its history, and then derail it so thoroughly.

Wait, does Chili = JoeCoolMan?

QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ Jan 8, 2014 -> 01:01 PM) Biggio at 74.8% Wow, you can put that directly on Gurnick.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jan 8, 2014 -> 08:54 AM) 174 out of 194 Frank would need 67.5% of the remaining 375 ballots. 253 out of 375. He's got to get in, right? It's going down with every new update. I am less and less confident.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 4, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) I meant to say 118, that was a typo. You rotten son of a b****.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jan 4, 2014 -> 01:57 PM) The Tribune writers took the death blow to Piazza. I'm still saying Biggio is going under 75%. I also think Sosa, Palmeiro, and maybe McGwire go under 5%, which would be great. Updated: Jan.4 - 1:45 ~ 123 Full Ballots ~ (21.6% of vote ~ based on last year) 100 - Maddux 97.6 - Glavine 91.1 - F. Thomas 81.3 - Biggio ——————————— 71.5 - Piazza 64.2 - Bagwell 61.8 - Morris 60.2 - Raines 41.5 - Bonds 40.7 - Clemens 39.0 - Schilling 31.7 - Mussina 25.2 - Trammell 24.4 - E. Martinez 22.8 - L. Smith 15.4 - Kent 13.0 - McGriff 11.4 - L. Walker 9.8 - McGwire 7.3 - S. Sosa 6.5 - R. Palmeiro You're saying 123, huskers is saying 188.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 30, 2013 -> 06:57 PM) The 73 is just under 13% of the total number of ballots that were turned in last year. So we're only seeing a tiny percentage. I wouldn't get excited. The ballots we're seeing are from the newer generation of writers that use Twitter and such, and those aren't the ones to be worried about. It's the old guys that aren't going to vote for him.
-
And how many total ballots are there?

No idea why you guys keep bringing Jude Law into the discussion. QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Dec 27, 2013 -> 08:57 AM) Yes, she is extremely talented. She was amazing in "Winters Bone." As for looks, she is not amazing, but I would give her my bone in any season. Haha, nice.

I find it hilarious that people are honestly saying that Jennifer Lawrence isn't hot. I know it's an opinion, but your opinion is wrong and terrible and you are all doo-doo heads.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 10:46 AM) who's seeing your fb feed that would be breaking into your house but wouldn't know you were out of town or your typical work hours? It happens all the time. You only have to have one mutual friend with a junkie who's willing to pass the word on to them.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 18, 2013 -> 09:17 AM) Yeah, but that doesnt mean its Facebook material. People share entirely too much bulls*** on that thing these days. It's like showing me what crap meal you made for dinner, I just dont care. I think I've hid 85 percent of my friend list. Haha, I've done the same thing. It's a great feature.

I know a bunch of people who try to shove their pets down everyone's throats as if they're children. And speaking of children, some people go WAY overboard with that as well. It's fine to post pictures and stuff about them, but some people basically become that child. They stop being their own personality, an individual. I just don't care that much about your kid, nobody else does.

It really used to seem like a rarity when Cubans defected like ten years ago. Now it's as though they can just walk off of the island. -
One of the greatest actors ever, Peter O'Toole.

I haven't even seen it, but anyone who thinks 12 Years A Slave won't win Best Picture is kidding themselves.

Saw the new Hobbit today. The character they created, Tauriel, well you could tell she wasn't part of the actual book. She seemed forced into the plot and just really stood out in a bad way. She's the love interest for a couple of the characters, and the scenes depicting that seem like they were written and directed by a high school drama instructor.
