  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 9, 2012 -> 11:20 AM) He is on the current season of Grey's Anatomy. Ah, the married life. Does he look alright?
  2. Mr. Feeny is 85, so they better hurry if they want him on it.
  3. I root for Van Alden and Capone, besides Richard.
  4. The last I remember of him was making the actor change his mind.
  5. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 5, 2012 -> 07:50 PM) BOARDWALK SPOILER. Saw that ending coming from a mile away. Not the whole bomb thing, but Billie getting killed. The whole identity change thing, Chip Rossetti knowing there Nucky and Arnold were going, etc. As soon as I saw her trailing them on the boardwalk, I knew that b**** was so dead, just didn't realize they rigged a massive explosion to the theater. You and everyone else And what's that other guy talking about Boardwalk having been boring? It's been amazing.
  6. The whole time I was reading it, I couldn't believe it. The soldier would be in tons of trouble.
  7. Where has Flaxx been? I noticed that he hasn't posted in the beer thread (strange), then realized I haven't seen him around in a while.
  8. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 16, 2012 -> 10:12 AM) Caught up on Boardwalk last night. Little slower than I like, but some great scenes. Nucky needs to stop obsessing over this Billy chick, but I guess the story is going to naturally flow to him killing her at some point. Or one of his enemies will (like Rosetti). Speaking of Rosetti, "Harry, you're alive! And you're a horrible shot!" Lots of point blank misses there. The Gillian stuff is getting tiresome, as is Margaret's. Both need to spice it up somehow. And lastly, Van Alden. I'm glad he's now hooked up with Capone's gangster enemy. Now let's see him be an enforcer. Van Alden turning to O'Banion is definitely the high point of that episode. And I don't think you can really blame Rosetti for missing Bugsy that much, considering the circumstances. In fact, I think he's the one who hit his own guy (the one that was still alive at the end).
  9. From what I understand, getting bit by a zombie doesn't simply turn you into one. There is just so much bacteria (and obviously so little medical care available) that the person dies from the wound/injuries and THEN turns because everyone is already infected. My guess is that Herschel lives. Joe, I think your assessment from Boardwalk is right. Can someone explain to me whether Ray Stevenson's character is Ukrainian or British? I know he said he went to school in England, but I'm not hearing a Ukrainian accent at all and the actor is obviously British.
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 14, 2012 -> 11:39 PM) Who? And whilst searching the title of this episode, I came across this similarly titled song by Eddie Cantor (on purpose, I'm sure). Damn, the actor who plays Cantor on the show really sounds like this guy. James Cromwell.
  11. And Boardwalk adds another great actor.
  12. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 9, 2012 -> 12:15 PM) No, not those. I love anything with Capone in it. I meant the "kid" who turned out to be 19 that was stealing booze, Those scenes in the cellar with Nucky seemed to drag on. Gotcha. I was seriously questioning your taste there for a minute. But as was stated, it was all a setup for Nucky to do what he did.
  13. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 8, 2012 -> 10:02 PM) Those scenes with the kid in the house. Took so long, I felt myself looking at my phone a lot more than during Dexter or Homeland. The scenes with Capone's kid were the best parts of the episode.
  14. I don't understand how that Boardwalk episode could be characterized as slow, but okay.
  15. So, Ozzie is a combination of Robin Hood and Verbal Kint? Gotcha. There is also no way Ozzie falls on his sword if they fire his staff.
  16. This whole thing with Van Alden is perfect. They're showing him get away with more and more, and having him realize that it's basically socially acceptable to be the bad guy. Hell, even seeing him cut loose and enjoy getting laid shows him changing. It's going to be awesome with the payoff of him becoming an enforcer. It's like they have a writer for every single character on that show, and one guy to sew those different stories together. No show has ever had this many amazing characters. And I hope that scene with Nucky, Mickey, and Richard leads to Richard having a more regular and defined role in Nucky's organization.
  17. Haven't watched an episode yet, but it seems like the same old thing. Characters do what progresses the plot, not what the character would actually do.
  18. Gonna be cool to see Van Alden become an enforcer. And RIP to Manny. You were just too cool a character to last.
  19. I remember saying that right before the Sox almost acquired him for the first time.
  20. I, for one, do not care at all about prison rape.
